Currently i am leasing Chrysler Pacifica 2005 and i am paying 297$ per month for 24 month 15,000 per year. My lease is ending tomorrow and dealer offered me to give 2007 Pacifica for $230 (with lease loyalty and employee discount). This is for 7 seater (touring) and 12,000 miles/year for 24 months.

Is this a good deal? This is in Michigan. How do we calculate the leasing amount? I see people talking about "money factor", "residual value".....how I use these numbers. Any links would be great.

Thanks,

#879 of 907 Lease Programs for July by fargodog

Hello,
Does anybody know the lease programs for July for the Pacifica? I am wondering what they are for the AWD for 24 and 36 months, 15,000 and 20,000 miles per year. Also, any lease incentives/loyalty discounts appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi jingi16. It sounds like you are new to leasing, if so you definitely should check out the following informative articles that are available here at Edmunds.com prior to visiting any dealers: 10 Steps to Leasing a New Car and Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

The fact that you are able to purchase, or in this case lease, your new Pacifica through DaimlerChrysler's employee purchase program assures you of getting a good selling price. I doubt that any dealer would mark-up the money factor for an employee lease, but you can always double check the money factor that is being used to calculate your vehicle's monthly payment if you want. Chrysler Financial's lease program for the Pacifica varies by trim level. If you tell me exactly which model you are getting, I would be happy to give you its current numbers.

Hello Dennis. I have seen DaimlerChrysler's July lease program for the vehicle that you are interested in and I would be happy to help you out. Chrysler Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Base AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00055 and 47%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00150 and 40%. 15,000 miles per year is the highest mileage allowance that Chrysler Financial publishes residual values for. If you need to drive more than this, you will have to purchase additional miles on a per-mile basis. It is less expensive to do so at lease signing than it is to wait until the end of your lease and have to pay an excess mileage penalty.

When negotiating your lease on this vehicle, make sure to take the $2,000 lease cash that DaimlerChrysler is providing on 5 passenger and $2,500 that it is providing on 6 passenger models into account. It is also providing $500 dealer cash, $1,000 bonus cash, and $1,000 loyalty cash on leases of the '07 Pacifica. All these cash offers can be combined to help you negotiate an attractive capitalized cost for your lease.

Hi Car Man,

My wife and I want to lease the 2007 AWD Chrysler Pacifica Touring. I wanted to know where we can find out the money factor for this car. Would we have to go through a bank website? If so, which bank sponsors Chrysler? I'm in the process of figuring lease payments so that we will be in a better position to negotiate when we approach the dealer.

Car_man,

We leased a 2007 Pacifica Touring FWD. It has the powerlift gate, the sirius radio and dvd/rear screen. Total msrp was about 30,800. Adjusted cap cost $25,250. Money factor ,00144 and a residual of $11,250. Lease cost includes maintenance coverage. Lease is 39 months with monthly payments of $399. Did I get a great, good, fair or standard deal here?

Thanks
Jonas07

Hi riv7298. I am not aware of any banks that publish lists of their current money factors and residual values for consumers. Given the level of lease support that is currently available on this model, chances are it will be cheapest to lease it through Chrysler Financial. I can give you an idea of what its lease program for it is currently like. You never mentioned how long you want to lease for or how many miles per year you want to lease with, so for now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. Let me know if you want something different. Chrysler Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Touring AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00100 and 40%, respectively. When negotiating your lease on this vehicle, make sure to take advantage of the $3,000 lease cash and $1,000 bonus cash ($4,000 total) that Chrysler is providing on it. This cash will help you to negotiate an attractive capitalized cost for your lease.

Hi Jonas07. The dealer invoice price of the Pacifica that you leased is $27,848. When one subtracts the $2,500 lease cash and $1,000 bonus cash that was available on 6 passenger '07 Pacifica models in July from that we arrive at $24,348. That puts you at around $900 over dealer invoice. I believe that I have seen consumers get this vehicle for a few hundred dollars less than this, but overall this is a pretty good deal.

Here's the info that you're looking for, axdrod. Chrysler Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Touring AWD with 12,000 miles per year are .00100 and 42%, respectively.
