i don't really want to say you should wait. When we got ours 2 years ago, the prices actually went up a week after we got our deal. You just never know.

BOUGHT IT!

Signature FWD Moonroof and Floor Mats and dealer added "free" chrome rims. I'm not sure how they got on there - got a line of oh i pulled up the wrong one and its not on the window sticker. Anyways.

PT with payoff of 6033.17
Taxes of 6.5%
All fees and whatever else they came up with.
OTD for $27,300.

I figured it out to be $26,450. So given that I'm still convinced that my PT is worth $5,200 and that price was figured with that I think I did alright. Figure that the $26,450 is at a $5,200 T-I, that difference means I got $4,300 for my o1 pt with 96,000 miles.

I think I got a pretty good deal.

Purchased at Brunswick Auto Mart.

Sounds like you got a great deal, but what exactly is a Signature Employee Offer? Is everyone eligible for that?

I'm in midst of negotiating right now. MSRP IS $32,875 (Touring FWD with Spring Special Package). They are offering $26,900 (that's with the $3,500 rebate). Still seems a bit high and I think I can get them down more but wondering if I can bring up the signature employee offer.

Thoughts?

I'm refering to the Signature Edition Pacifica. For an MSRP of $33,500 you get a loaded touring edition with leather, first and second row heated seats, power liftgate, backup camera, moonroof, navigation - just about everything. Every year Chrysler offers these limited production build high value models. I would highly recommend that you find one in your area if your looking to buy.

Since I compared the two of them, the difference between the Spring Special model and the Signature model is that the Signature has the backup camera and navigation, while the spring special has the dvd player and sirius.
Since the Sig already has the DVD drive, for $250 on ebay you can buy the Dvd screen with all wiring and diagrams. I may end up doing that myself. The navigation system and backup camera are very nice.

The employee discount was achieved through a pin number that I got from my neighbor. He only gets two of them a year and gave me his other one.

Are you currently leasing a Chrysler vehicle? The incentives for those who are leasing now helped me to get the price I got.

If I was you I would shoot for invoice price.

Good luck.

Ok guys, here's what I was offered.

awd touring in white with the u package, and it has the crossbars, dvd, and parksense.

MSRP: 34795.00
Invoice: 32425.00

Its either:
$28,925 (incl. $3500 rebate)

-or-

$31,425 (incl. $1000 and 0%)

Thoughts??

I really thought that by this time dealers would be in "deal" mode considering the car's sales history as of late.

Thanks.
Mara

i'd wait for a coule more days cause they should be coming out with sweet deals soon.they will try to get rid off all the 07's so if you can wait you may end up with a limited edition with all the options for the same price even lower.good luck..

Thanks to those of you that responded. After doing more research on the Pacifica AND talking with my mechanic, I decided against purchasing the vehicle. The reliability record (consumer reports) just threw me off a bit. I wishall Pacifica owners well with their vehicles and hope that the reliability record proves all wrong. Thanks!

Should I take the plunge?? by maradag

Hi everyone... I'm a bit reluctant about the Pacifica because of some of the posts I've read here but also the CR's New Car Prediction of "worse than average".

However, the discount/incentives on this car make it the one I can afford. So here's the deal:

AWD Pac. Touring - Brilliant Black
U package
Infinity Intermezzo Surround Sound System
Power Moonroof
Parksense Rear Back-Up System

MSRP of $34,500. Dealer offered $32,135 less rebates for total of $28,135.

Dealer's invoice on this car is around $31,079.00

Well, its actually better for us to go with the 0% financing Chrysler is offering so our price would revert back to $32,135 - $1000 for a total of $31,135.

I want to offer $31,500 OTD (all inclusive).

What do you think?? Is that fair (for dealer and us) or am I leaving too much on the table for this car, at this time of the year with all the competition its got out there??

Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mara.

well, unfortunately, the rebates are real soft on these right now, and under the new ownership, its anyone's guess if they will go up or not.

In any case, I definitely think you should be at invoice minus the incentive. So that's $30,079. Even at $30k, I don't think you'll get $31,500 OTD. Although, you didn't say what your state taxes are. I know here in NJ, on a $30k car I'd be looking at $2100 tax, around $250 registration, figure $150 doc fees, for a total OTD of $32,600.
