Personally, on a car like the Pacifica, I would leave no real profit if possible. That means either flat invoice minus any incentives/rebates, or even dipping into holdback. If your EP is already below that number, then I think that's more than reasonable. 2nd, you can't necessarily assume a $2k profit for them on your trade. They may not keep it. If they send it to auction, they will probably make nothing on it, if they give you fair value. |

07 Pacifica Signature FWD MSRP: $33,495 (Options on Moonroof and Floor Mats) Employee Price: $29,760 Rebates: $2,500 - In Lieu of APR $1,500 - Wrangler Lessee $1,000 - None $500 - Lessee Dealer Cash $500 - None ---------------------------- Dealer offer of $23,760 Holdback is $983 Should I haggle anymore on this deal, they say you can't but with previous experience I have. Or is this deal good and I should be happy with it? They are a large volume dealer and have 80 Pacificas, with three of these Signature models left which all are marine blue. There are more in my area. Do you think now is the time to buy, or should I wait another month and hope for 0% for 72, or wait a little more for the 08's which will soon have the same amount of cash on the hood? Thanks again.

Replying to: qbrozen (Jul 26, 2007 8:21 am) So my thinking is that maybe they will lower the APR and still have the $2,500 attached to it. August is when the firesale rebates hit and I don't want to miss those. I have no choice but to go with the 72 month. I was looking at used values and with the 10k off that puts me in a good spot for resale. I'm not really too worried either as I plan on keeping this vehicle for a while. In your opinion should I buy now or wait and see what next month holds. The incentives can only stay the same or get bettter right? Thanks for your input. Also, I was going to see if my dealer could write up the papers as a sale for this month and if they improve we could just redo the paperwork.

I'm not sure how they got on there - got a line of oh i pulled up the wrong one and its not on the window sticker. Anyways. PT with payoff of 6033.17 Taxes of 6.5% All fees and whatever else they came up with. OTD for $27,300. I figured it out to be $26,450. So given that I'm still convinced that my PT is worth $5,200 and that price was figured with that I think I did alright. Figure that the $26,450 is at a $5,200 T-I, that difference means I got $4,300 for my o1 pt with 96,000 miles. I think I got a pretty good deal. Purchased at Brunswick Auto Mart.

They are offering $26,900 (that's with the $3,500 rebate). Still seems a bit high and I think I can get them down more but wondering if I can bring up the signature employee offer. Thoughts?

Replying to: nancy61 (Jul 29, 2007 1:10 pm) Since I compared the two of them, the difference between the Spring Special model and the Signature model is that the Signature has the backup camera and navigation, while the spring special has the dvd player and sirius. Since the Sig already has the DVD drive, for $250 on ebay you can buy the Dvd screen with all wiring and diagrams. I may end up doing that myself. The navigation system and backup camera are very nice. The employee discount was achieved through a pin number that I got from my neighbor. He only gets two of them a year and gave me his other one. Are you currently leasing a Chrysler vehicle? The incentives for those who are leasing now helped me to get the price I got. If I was you I would shoot for invoice price. Good luck. |
