Yes...in short, it's a reasonably good deal in my estimation. I purchased my 2007 Pacifica Touring FWD which listed at 28,060 for just over 22,000. That included $1500 cash back, $1000 owner incentive, $1800 trade-in and about $1600 off MSRP.. I also added about $400 of dealer installed items.

The incentive just went to $2000 for the Touring & Limited as of 14FEB07.

Opman,

Where are you that you're getting this deal??? In NY, I have trouble getting dealers to budge!!

I was corresponding on an AWD Pac.07, with U Pkg and moonroof with an MSRP of $33,515 and an invoice of $30,675. The dealer came back with $29,992. Two dealers said they'd be in the negative zone if they went any lower. I should be able to get this car for about $28,900 but they're swearing left and right that they're already losing money.

How can you break these guys?? How can you convince them that you're not an idiot who can be taken advantage of and that you've done your research?

maradag,

If it's any consolation I'm coming up with ths same numbers here in NY/NJ. The best is I'm being told that I'm being quoted at invioce before any rebates. Am I missing something?

Actually it is....

I just don't get it. The dealer across the street from me quoted me 29610 on a vehicle with an MSRP of $31,110. Hello???? What happen to pricing from invoice??? And he tells me "we'll give it to you at our cost of $29,610." Dude, that's not your cost!!! He obviously thinks that I can't do simple math!!!

There are 3 dealers with in close proximity which have 25+ of these vehicles on their lots. Either they ordered too many or they ordered enough and are just holding on to them but they're not selling like hotcakes from what I can see.

I'm starting to think with the inflexibility in price negotiating and the terrible residual value, this is not the car for me (although everytime I see it, I almost melt).

I definitely like the Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia but those are too new and priced to high right now...

This is in Minneapolis. The dealer made a mistake on his quote but he decided that he would honor the quote.

Hope this helps.

When looking at dealer inventories for the NY Metro area I'm coming up with alot of Pac's with FWD and a limited number of Touring with the options I'm looking for. And just to be clear the cars I'm pricing have a MSRP of about $35,000 and I'm being quoted by 3 dealers at or just a little below $30,000 if it helps at all.
