$30K probably won't get it but you may be able to finish a deal around $33K or $34K. Good luck.

I don't know why they are calling some of them demos either, mine had 16 miles on it when I bought it and 10 of them were from my test drive! For $6000 off msrp, they can call it anything they want! They had one there today with every single available option - and still $6000 off msrp - no questions asked!

Hey Fish - $30K should get it. Mine is AWD, leather. Had sticker of 36,250 and got it for 30,250! Enjoying it to the max. Ask them if they have any demos, like they called mine. I am in California and the dealers all seem pretty hungry out here. Now is a great time to buy a car.

I did buy the Pacifica on the demo plan--6K off of the Sticker. Nearly fully loaded, plus a 100K extended warranty OUT THE DOOR for under 35K. According to all the dealers I checked with, Chrysler has a program where they put specific cars in their "demo" program which gives the dealer a huge rebate back from the manufacturer. Generally these demos are fully loaded or pretty close to it, and they are just another way of incentivizing the dealer/customer in an effort to move these cars.
 
If you check around with the dealers in your area, you should be able to find a number of these cars in that program.
 
Be aware: These cars are NOT subject to the $1000.00 loyalty rebate. At least thats what my dealer told me. He produced a piece of paper from Chrysler saying that the demos weren't eligible for that rebate. I don't know if that's literally true, but I was NOT able to get that rebate. These cars are also NOT eligible for the free navigation certificates that were mailed out to select people a few weeks back.
 
If anyone out there has info to the contrary, I'd love to know....but in answer to the above post....just call your local dealers and ask them what cars they have in the demo program

Trying to disengage from what it calls “incentive addiction,” Chrysler launched the 2004-model Pacifica sport wagon in April clean of costly inducements. Sales lagged and, in June, Pacifica was reluctantly added to the handout wagon, says Automotive News. Chrysler vehicle owners buying a Pacifica get $1000, and switchers with competitive vehicles get a free navigation system priced at $1595. Dealers, pressing hard to keep abreast of GM and Ford rivals, last week were offered a $3000 incentive for each Pacifica they bought for their demo pools.

Don't listen to the dealerships who are boasting that the Pacificas are moving better than we think...they are all hungry to make a deal!
 
Maybe because it is the end of the month, or maybe because Chrysler is itching to make their sales quotas, but these dealerships are hot to make a deal!
 
My wife finally got to test-drive the FWD Pacifica yesterday. She told them that we were not ready to make any deals this week, since we have to first try to get out of our current lease.
 
Today they called back, asking if we are ready to sit down and make a deal, that they have lots in stock. We told them that it was not happening this week, and they mentioned that our free NAV system voucher will expire on 07/31/03. We told them that they will have to honor that deal into August or we are not willing to buy the car, that it is a dealbreaker! They said that although Chrysler will not honor it past 7/31/03 (I disagree...if Chrysler wants to move this car, they will extend it into August...we just got the voucher a week ago), they will do what they have to do to make it work, even if that means lowering the price of the car by the $1595.00 cost of the NAV system!
 
It is dealtime people, anyone out there who wants this car should put on their negotiating hats and start lowballing, who knows how low they will go to sell these cars?

We looked at one briefly before quickly deciding it wasn't big enough to haul two kids and two big dogs. Seemed like a very nice car. We didn't drive it but was impressed with the look/feel. I still have yet to see one on the road though (I live in Columbus, OH). I bet come fall you'll be able to steal one of these!

After lurking on the Pacifica board for awhile, we finally pulled the trigger and purchased a Pacifica today.
We leased our Pacifica for 36 month's and 15,000 miles per year. The low money factor and high residual combined with the $1,000.00 incentive were to good to pass up.
We ended up a little over $5,000.00 under MSRP (MSRP $36,465.00 Cap cost $31,200.00). I had an excellent sales experience and if anyone in so. California is interested in the dealer and contact info, send me an email. I was in and out of the dealership in 45 minutes and that included a thorough inspection, test drive, paper work signing and car introduction. This is without a doubt the smoothest, quickest car purchase transaction I have ever experienced.
I will post my impressions of the vehicle over in the general Pacifica board once I get a few miles on it.
So far, so good!

Hey, just picked up a Brilliant Black Crystal/Dark Slate Grey cloth AWD Pacifica (no NAV, NO DVD).
 
Experience was good, I had cross shopped the Murano SL, Infiniti FX35 and Chrys T&C for about a month before pulling the trigger on the Pacifica.
 
We paid 29,240. Got the $1k rebate, but did not hear anything about an offer for NAV, although I am not unhappy, I read maps just fine ;=)
 
Hoping for a better experience than with my 99 300M, nice car in concept, but I had bad early experiences with the dealer and in the end the car was a bit too rattle trappy for my taste and Chryslers efforts at being an upscale mark. So, we'll just have to see about this one.
 
Anyway, the Pac will be our new family ride (replaces a '96 Windstar) and my daily ride is an Infiniti G35, so I will have somewhere else to hide if the darned thing does not live up to expectations.
 
Hoping for the best though .. Happy Driving to All
