Bought a 2005 Touring with 22,000 miles by bowgy4

I just picked up a 2005 Touring FWD with Leather, surround sound, 6 CD/DVD in-dash changer, fog lights, traction control, side-curtain airbags, power liftgate, cargo convenience group, and wrapped in beautiful midnight blue. We paid 21,700, before tax plus had a $1200 trade-in (couldn't have got that myself). We put down $5000 and received 5.99% financing. We also looked at a 2004 with the same mileage but more features for roughly the same price, but when it came down to it, the other car was white and my wife never wanted a white car - I wasn't too keen on keeping it clean either. So, how do you think we fared? Let me know what you think. This is a central illinois dealer, so I imagine we may have gotten a slightly better deal. It has the 7 year/70,000 powertrain warranty and 1 1/2 years left on the 3/36,000. I think it's a great deal, as I talked them down from 24,995, first offer, 22,800 second offer, 22,300 third offer, 21,700 was the price I named. I could sense the frustration in the sales manager's voice, so that is usually a good sign. Only drawback I could find is that it was a rental for 8 months.

Well, easy come, easy go. I returned the 2005 because it was hitting hard occaisionally when shifting gears. The best part is though that I drove 3 hours to Royal Gate Dodge near St. Louis and picked up an even better deal and car - a 2004 AWD Pacifica with heated seats, memory, sunroof, and chrome wheels. This was a Chrysler Certified Pre-Owned (meaning an 8/80,000 powertrain warranty) and I got it for 19,900 plus $1200 for my trade-in. Could have gotten it cheaper if I had more time, but I think it is still a great deal and I love this car twice as much. We also noticed some marks on the '05 the next day (we bought the car at night) but the '04 is 100% spotless. The interior even looked like showroom new (no marks or scratches anywhere that I could find). I'm excited and hope that the next to person to buy and post here is excited too!

Deals on leftover 2005 models by 05rubisahara

I am strongly considering a new leftover 2005 Pacifica Limited if I can find one in desirable colors with nav and rear DVD. I know a 2006 Limited with same equipment will list for $41,300. I believe Chrysler is currently offering $3000 rebate if financed through them.

Anyone know where a 2005 leftover should be priced bearing in mind the deals offered on the 2006's? I was hoping somewhere in the low $30's.

I picked up a 2006 PAC limited totally loaded for $34,443 (MSRP was about $42,180 or so). If you can find a 2005 it should be considerably less. Good luck.

pe72pe,

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you made a super deal. I would jump on a 2006 Limited for that price. Do you mind divulging the dealership or location? I am in Maryland and most of the dealers are lame on stocking the Limited. Nav, rear DVD and U-connect are a must.

Thanks,

Also I found Chrysler's website to be fantastic tool in searching for specific dealer inventory. They are all willing to negotiate over the phone. You can also see what incentives Chrysler is offering. Currently $3000 on purchase or $4000 if you've leased with before.

Good luck!

President's Day Lease Deals? by eyespy

I am seriously considering leasing a Pacifica Touring AWD with Quick Package 26U and a few smaller bells and whistles like Bluetooth capability and cargo convenience group. Is anyone seeing any good deals out there?

Also, my local dealer showed me a fully loaded Limited demo with 5,400 miles on it. How do I calculate/determine the appropriate amount to discount the mileage/depreciation if I were to consider leasing this car instead?

Thanks.

New 2005 Pacifica Touring by bigblockvette

I purchased a new 2005 Pacifica Touring S package for $18,946.usf out the door (including tax, plates, title) with chrysler employee pricing (sticker 28,895.usf + tax). I purchased at Suburban Chrysler Jeep in Novi from Hank Web. Great Guy. All worked out good, but keep your guard up with the finance manager. He is out to make money. Told me finance would be 7.9 interest for 60 months, ended up with 5.9% finance through Chase. I feel good about the deal. Comments please.

new 2006 touring awd cleveland by bzl

I am looking to lease a touring with leather and if not AWD, then at least traction control, because I've heard that if you have neither then it is hard to get around the cleveland, ohio area in the winter months. Has anyone had success with a Cleveland area dealer on leases? I usually haggle with dealers for days and I just don't know if I have the energy to do it his time. But, I want a good deal. Any advise is appreciated.
