Congratulations! Seven years' worth of oil changes? For that deal, make sure you go in every 3,000 miles for sure!

I have been quoted $3200 under invoice on all Pacificas for October, provided I finance through Chrysler. I am not quite ready to buy yet but will be in the next couple weeks. Will let you know how things turn out.

Just a note to thank everyone for their comments and inputs on their Pacificas. We took the plunge and ordered our new pearl black on 10/11 with a $100 deposit. In the time that has passed until delivery yesterday things just got better. As most of you may know, Chrysler gave another $1000. bonus for a total of $3000. From reading here and other sites I was very concerned about the cost of repairs after the basic warranty ran out. I told the dealer we were thinking of cancelling unless he or Chrysler could do something. As it finally turned out we received the mcx 770l maximum care $0 deductible for no charge! The msrp plus max care was $38,310. we paid $31,060. The max care was $1595. according to the Chrysler web site. Without the very long wait and this message board I was going to pay $32,060. without the best protection max care. I've already got the s.s. tail pipe, pacfica license frame, etc. The front windows are being tinted sat. We did not put on the roof rails and it really looks sharp! Thanks again for all the help.

Service Contracts by frannie15

I'm wondering how much room for negotiation there is in the extended service contracts? For the MCX7100L (7 year/100K mile $0 deductible), the Chrysler web site shows $2,950. One dealer offered it for $2,100. I see above that one family got it thrown in for nothing. How far should we push on this? Also, how does one go about getting free oil changes? Can the dealers just throw that in? Does Premium Care come on the 2005 Pacs?

The dealer threw in free oil changes for 3-1/2 years for me, as a clincher to close the deal.

The premium care does come with the '05 pac. I had the same question at the dealers, but they gave me the brochure which spells it out. We received the mcx770L at no charge after we threatened to cancel our order due to the many problems I was reading about. This is the 7 yr., 70,000 mi., 0 deductible. Since I retired we drive 10-12,000 yr. Mostly trips to N.C., Ohio, Wi. and Il. We have our Crown Vic for local running around. The contract msrp was $1,595. As far as oil changes, the dealer can throw in whatever required to close the deal at a profit. We went in with a list of must haves, nice to have, throw it in if it's free. Dealers get frustrated if everytime they think the deal is closed a new item is thrown on the table. We think we got a good price, free contract and very good financing. So far, with nearly 500 miles all is wonderful. Can't find anything to complain about. Leaving next week for 1,500 trip. Will let you know if problems occur.

2005 Touring AWD Purchase by va_guy

Just purchased a 2005 Touring AWD (26S Pkg) w/Power Liftgate, 6-Disc CD/DVD Changer and Rear Seat Video System at "invoice" less 3k incentives for a total of $27,466 from Fair Oaks Chrysler in Chantilly, VA using the Costco Auto Program. Purchased this at the end of the month, literally the last day, and had another dealer offering $1,000 below invoice PLUS the 3k incentives. I stuck with the original deal because this dealer was very close to home AND included free oil changes/inspections for as long as I own the car. They were also very helpful in finding the vehicle that I wanted which wasn't loaded with all of the bells and whistles, this vehicle wasn't on their lot so they had to "purchase" it from another dealer. I had a very good purchasing experience with this dealer.

Congratulations on your new pac. Sounds like you had a very enjoyable buying experience. Have fun! I should have listened to my wife and gone for the free oil changes! Oh well, next time!

'05 AWD Touring msrp $41,400 for $30,340.
Included in price paid was traded 'of 96 Town & Country 100,005 miles for $2,500. Also get free car rental while using dealership and 5 years free oil change.

It is a nice people mover that was overpriced, lots of inventory on lot.

For giggles, they lent me a 300Touring to return on Monday. Trying to buy one now. NO discounts found yet.
