Replying to: rsharp (Aug 22, 2004 9:56 am) That makes it more reasonable. And it's also why I leased.

Replying to: commofficer (Aug 23, 2004 9:04 am) This is exactly why if I want an American car I lease. The factory supported lease residuals eliminate this problem. |

| The residual value on my lease (22 months left) is $21,500 compared to the NADA current trade-in value of $23,000. Chrysler Financial is going to take a real bath when I turn in the car! I am happy to let them take the hit while I enjoy my (their) Pacifica. | |

| We're looking at a 2004 FWD with the 26R option & convenience group cargo. Dealer is offering $100 over invoice price of $29,486 minus $4000 manufacturer rebate. MSRP is $31,535. Total is $5949. Not overly good from what I have seen on this discussion board. Dealer is also offering low trade-in on a 2000 XLT Explorer in good condition - their price crept up $1000 in 30 mins (made eventual offer of $8000). We walked away this evening and expect some follow-up calls this week with a better trade price. Anyone else experience silly games like this from their dealer (Archer Chrysler in Katy TX). | |
