hi, may I ask what you leased before the Pacifica?

I am trying to get out of a Lexus RX300 4-year lease (15 months left) because we need more seating capacity and the Pacifica sounds like a nice choice (I still like the Lexus a lot though)

Is $2000 cash to dealer still in effect? by rasldasl

I have searched Edmunds and no longer see this in effect. The Chrysler page is only listing the 1.9% financing or $1,000 towards a lease. I know they would not list the cash to dealer anyway. The dealer I was at last night is offering $2,000 cash back but I did not get into it with him if this is from Chrysler or their own contribution. I told him I thought that offer had expired the day after Labor Day but he said they almost always continue deals like that past the expiration date. They also claimed ignorance of the 1.9% financing, I think they may be trying to get me into a deal with a bank that will give them a bigger commission on the loan.

We were looking for a mid-size SUV but all of them were either too pricey or did not have the things that we wanted in the vehicle. Searched the Internet and there it was. The Pacifica. Read the description and went to the dealer the following day. We really liked the vehicle and wanted the fully loaded model. The price was on the high end but I wanted to wait and make a deal after more research. Some dealerships went down as much as $37000 but it would've still cost us around 40,000 out the door.

We told the dealership where we first saw the Pacifica that we would like to buy it around $36000 out the door (Tax and license included). They offered $36700 out the door (Tax and license included) and we took it. It's only been a week but we enjoy the car. Classy, very safe, smooth driving, wide vehicle, NAV is great, DVD is reeping benefits already with my kid, and the memory system for seats and radio is cool. Stuff you get if you bought a Luxury car.

This was the fully loaded model AWD (MSRP 40670)(Dealer mark-up $2989 or Asking price $43659). The only thing missing is the Extra bright headlamps. The color that we wanted did not come with it. That feature was at the bottom of our must have list anyways.

Do you mind telling me who you worked with there at Keffer. Getting tired of dealing with the guys here in Fayetteville. I hate buying a car in a "military" town.

I answered my own questions about the demonstrator program. For those with the same questions here is what I found out.
The demonstrator program started roughly two months ago. Dealers were able to discount designated demos $3,000 below invoice with Chrysler bearing the discount. Most of these cars have been sold, however by calling dealers you can still find some, mostly the loaded ones. I purchased a silver Pacifica, MSRP $38,975 for $31,943 or $6,852 under MSRP. It was discounted an extra $1,000 because it was a true demonstrator with 3,200 miles on it. My son and I drove it to a Miami Dolphin game and he told me that he didn't see why people wanted more power. We were doing 85 mph and it was rock solid. Incidentally my son is a deputy sheriff and is used to fast cars. He was so impressed that the following week he also bought one. A beautiful Butane Blue, MSRP $40,510 costing him $34,453, $6,057 below MSRP. He didn't get the $1,000 off because his demo only had 124 miles on it. The demos are still out there and are worth the search!!!

I was just wondering what the wait time has been for those who ordered one instead of buying from the lot?

Painfully negotiating to close on an AWD Pacifica by msasarman

The last time I bought a car was in 1992 from Ford. This time I am negotiating with Chrysler, and I am getting the distinct impression that these guys are the Big Three's poor cousin.

- No loaners when you bring the car in for service, the 3 yr bumber to bumber warranty does not cover most regular maintenance, and despite what your read, there are not a lot of Pacificas sitting in dealer lots. Add to that sorry looking dealerships with service bays that remind me of the Fonz from the "Happy Days".

I am trying to buy a fully loaded AWD with black exterior and light leather interior - up to now it has been impossible to find one.

And I thought everyone said that (a) Chrysler is upping their brand into the lux area with new entries and (b) the Pacifica is not selling well ...

I even had one dealer tell me that Pacificas are selling like hot cakes and to get mine I might have to pay over MSRP and get a three month waiting list.

In my opinion, Daymler is treating Chrysler as the poor cousin in the family, and not investing heavily in the brand. I certainly have not seen any difference in Chrysler since the merger.

So what gives ?
