That definitely does not sound like standard equipment, can you show us a picture? Anyone else w/ an '07 have this light? Do you have lo-jack or other non-factory alarms?

I uploaded two pictures of it into the photo album. Nope, no lo-jack or non-factory alarm that I authorized. Thanks for looking!!

That looks strange. Did you ask your dealership about it?

That light looks aftermarket installed. Please let us know what it is when you find out. Way too weird!

Thanks, everyone for your input. I called the dealership today. They said they did a dealer trade to get the color/packages I wanted and that the other dealership they got it from puts in an ignition kill system as a standard thing, but that it wouldn't be activated unless I paid for that. Why would a dealership put any more money into a car than they had to? I find that hard to believe, but it's a little late to argue the point and I don't think I can take it out without leaving two little holes.
Why they had to mess with a perfectly fine car, I don't know. Just wished I had questioned it at the point of sale, but honestly I didn't notice it until I got home...
Oh yeah, and I found an empty Hostess doughnut wrapper in the little passenger storage compartment. Nice.

I think I'd at least cut the wires so the useless light doesn't keep staring at you, that'd drive me nuts!

We have a 2002 MDX which we love - and are looking at the 2007 - which is pretty cool. I was reading the forum and saw your note. Couple of comments. I don't believe the kill switch story. You should speak directly with the dealer that installed the light to get some paperwork verification - that will straighten out the story quickly. And you purchased the car NEW, so the dealer that you purchased it from is responsible to make it as new - including removing the light and all the wires and replacing the panel with the holes. Used cars are a different story, but new is new - and the item was not on the accessory list so it needs to go away - by law. Next step id to Acura corporate. Believe me, you can have it all takencare of, you just need to be firm. Good luck! Great cars - and for the most part - good dealers.

Great points rnoble. I couldn't have stood to something like this. I'd push it the whole way, till I get either a discount or get it removed.

bumbie, this has been reported by numerous 07 MDX owners, something that you have to contact the dealer with. I have not gotten a chance to do so but would do it when I have time.

Pulling

Hey all. I've had the 2007 MDX for a few months and really only have one complaint....It frequently pulls (in both directions), so much so it's almost dangerous.
I've had it into the dealership multiple times, they've checked the alignment, tire pressure etc but can't seem to find an answer. One possibility offered was that since I upgraded to the 19 inch wheels, the tires are more aggressive and the walls are smaller, making bumps and imperfections in the road more of an issue. However, I find if there is even the slightest imperfection in the road the steering wheel is almost jumping out of my hands. Anyone else experiencing this, especially with the 19" wheels? Any suggestions or ideas?
