I drive the base version MDX with the base version sound system. I am currently driving a loaner with the upgraded sound system not to mention every other gadget that you get get on the MDX. Granted, I have not watched a DVD movie but the upgraded sound system isn't much better than my base version!

Yhe ELS system in my TL is a tad crisper with CD as well compared to non-ELS in a loaner RDX I had couple of weeks ago (same CD). But the difference is almost negligible.

To see the true colors of the ELS system however, you will have to look at DVD-A/DTS discs. I have a few of those. The problem is limited choices.

Thanks, upstatedoc, I don't think it's the brake caliper, though I'll check it out. Sound system in my "old" car is the Lexus/Nakamichi, so maybe not a fair comparo. Then again, that one's 12 years old, and with the increased (spatial) volume in this rig, I was hoping for more.

I haven't had a chance to really play with it, though, just too damn many toys in this car -- hog heaven for this gadget geek!

Thanks for the feedback, glad it's not my overactive, nit-picking hypercritical imagination.

Re: your "tracking right" problem, has the dealership checked the tires? Mine tracks straight, no problems to note except for that minor noise.

Forgive me if I don't have this perfectly right, but I think the MDX goes through an ABS/Stability Control pump cycle shortly after startup, while the vehicle first reaches 15 MPH or so. Lasts for 2-3 seconds, sound like a rattle or light rapping. I think I feel the brakes slow the car very slightly. Could that be what you are hearing? Or is it something that lasts longer?

Weird swishing noise coming from the fuel tank? by bumbie

I am not sure if this has been asked already, but I have a new 2007 MDX and I hear a noise resembling water moving in a bottle, especially after refueling. I am assuming it is the gas tank and what I am hearing is the gas moving in the tank, but I have never heard this before in any car I have owned. It is definitely coming from underneath the car. I am wondering if my MDX is special or if others have heard something similar. I am not crazy, my husband has heard it as well and was shocked never hearing this in any car he has owned

Green light under dashboard? by luvmy07mdx

I just traded in my beloved 01 MDX and took delivery of my 07 MDX and love it! But I was wondering if anyone can tell me what this green light is under the dashboard on the driver's side to the right of the parking break release, but a little lower? It looks like an old school alarm light fom the 80's but it doesn't blink. Just glows green all the time, even when the car is off and the doors are closed. I can't find anything about it in the manual.

Thanks!

Mysterious lights.... I don't know, I just looked my dashboard for about 10 minutes (lights on, lights off, car on, car off, emergency brake, etc.). The closest green light is the seat memory on the door and way to the left. Must be an L.E.D. loose some where.

I just went out for a spin and I was wrong about it being on when the car is on, that's the only time it's off. It's just strange because it looks after market -- everything else is so sleek and this is a black box (tiny) with a light screwed in to the edge of the dash where it curves under and ends. I'd say when you're sitting in the driver's seat, it's mid to upper shin level. I'll call the dealer and ask if they know. Thanks for the reply!

speed sensitive wiper setting by rrhd

There are two choices on the intermitent wiper setting(speed sensitive and manual). I have tried both settings and don't notice any difference. I assumed the speed sensitive setting was the same as rain sensing wipers I have had on other vechiles. Rain sensing wipers work great and vary the wiper speed according to the amount of rain hitting the windshield. How is the speed sensitive setting on the 07 MDX supposed to function?
