Hey, robg4! No, because there will be a rubber washer between the spoiler and the rear gate so that the water can get any where near the screw.

Hi heavan32678, visit: http://mytoyota.toyotaownersonline.com/login.php (If you're not a member yet, registration is only 3 minutes or less). There you can sample SATELLITE RADIO ONLINE FREE for THREE (3) days before you decide to subscribe to it for your SAT/RADIO on your 2006 Sports 4Runner. This will also give you the opportunity to compare it with your XM Radio in your other car. I have an '06 Sports 4Runner myself V8 4WD (housed with the 4.7L DOHC engine) I'm assuming we have the same model. At this time, I'm satisfied with the sound system that came with it. I did however, sampled the SAT/RADIO offered for three days free. Lots of great music stations all over U.S. and still haven't decide if I subscribe now or later.

If you are still interested I installed the electrochromatic mirror in a 2006 4Runner. It was included when I bought the vehicle but I had to install it. It came with the wiring that connects to Pin #A9, connector 1E1 (Brown/Red wire) in the lower left kick panel according to the Toyota manual. This wire is hot only when the ignition is on.

Door Ding Protection by mike805

Does anyone know of a door rub bar (black unpainted) that can be added to a new 4Runner with double sided tape to prevent door paint dings? Something like that on the Tundra would do if it doesn't require holes to be drilled.

Donnandy,
Added the cold air intake about 3 months ago to my 06 sport edition V6. Great purchase! Sounds terrific, easy install, more power but gas mileage is hard to tell. Can't keep my foot out of it. Highlt recommend this as a first step for better sound and power upgrade.

You might wanna do a bit more research on this topic
before you do this "mod," cos it might in the end
still not solve your problem. I believe this is just
plain physics of the aerodynamics. Even after the
mod, the smell might go unnoticeable, but it doesn't
necessarily mean that the dosage has completely
gone zero. If you find anything, please share with us!

Grill Guard by gostros

I'd like to install a grill guard on my 2006 4Runner to prevent scratches and dings when driving (slowly) in 4x4 through brush and things, but mainly to prevent scratches and dings that are appearing while my car is parked. Is there a brand that is better than another, one type that won't effect gas mileage too much?

Thanks.

Just purchased a used 2004 4Runner SR5. Absolutely love the truck.....except for those nasty cloth seats.

Has anyone every exchanged those seats for aftermarker, or have you heard of a Toyota dealership having the ability to do so?

I would greatly appreciate hearing from someone who has exchanged the stock cloth seats for others.

My direct email is mwjoos at aol dot com.

Wagg Frontrunner and Rear Bumper guard by mike805

I am looking to buy these Wagg parts based primarily on the discussions here. The best price I have found is at Everything SUV for $323.40 and $258.50 respectively plus $34 shipping. Does anyone know of a better price? I thought I read that someone got them both for $500 but that may have been some time back.
