Hi Does anyone know if you can install the Homelink and Autodimming Mirror (factory version) in a 4-Runner? Does Toyota sell the parts or a kit? Tangman |

| I have a double decker cargo system standard in the limited, doubt if I will ever use it. | |
|
What brand and model of NAV system is used in the Limited model? I cannot find any Sport with it so I will have to get it installed. I want the same as what's installed in the factory. Thanks. |

| I am considring a "dual" exhaust system in my 2003 4R. Informally I was told at the dealer that I void the factory warranty unless I go with the Borla system they sell ($600 plus, parts only). I believe a local muffler shop would do it for a fraction. I emailed Toyota and so far, no answer. Any suggestions/experiences on the subject? (I dont even know if the Toyota V8 sounds as good as the Fords and Chevys.) | |

Think you're out of luck re: homelink -- have not seen that offered as an "after sale" accessory. However, the autodimming mirrors are available. I purchased an autodimming mirror (no compass or lights) at brandsport for $49 / free shipping. Easy installation w/ two wire hookup. Here's the url for the offer... blow out while supply lasts: http://www.brandsport.com/toy-pt374-0c020.html If you want the mirror w/ compass try here: http://www.delandtoyota.com/frameset1.asp?LINK=Parts&MAIN=par- ts_wildcard1 Price is $157 plus shipping If url doesn't work, go to delandtoyota.com and go to online parts. Good luck. |

Rather than risk paint abbrasions from debris under a bra, why not consider a clear bra? A full DIY Kit is available for about $200: http://www.xpel.com/ |

| Where can I get and install the sport bumper trim? | |
|
zeus258, there have been posts in a couple of the 4Runner discussions that pointed to other vendors of Toyota accessories. I'd search the main 4Runner discussion and the earlier posts in this discussion if you haven't already. I remember looking at some of those sites and it seemed that they had the same bumper trim for the same price as the dealers. I wasn't interested in the trim itself, but was curious to see if it was as expensive at these other sites. The trim bar and the two bumper appendages seem to be just plastic and I was amazed to see an invoice price of $600. This was the only factory option that I thought was amazingly overpriced, and the only one where a dealer admitted that they thought so, too. The trim doesn't look bad, and does set a vehicle off from others in appearance, but I'd be concerned about very expensive damage if you so much as tap another vehicle or object with it. |

Seems to be a pricey add on... personally, I'd rather have a bull bar or brush guard to offer real protection, (for the price of the plastic, can probably pick up a JAOS bar) but here's links to purchase the SBT at various vendors: Part PT212-89030 - SPORT BUMPER TRIM $478 Here: http://www.partznet.com/toyota/4runner/accessories/sportbumpertri- - - m.html $525 at this site: http://www.toyparts.net/shop/index.cgi?code=3&cat=9 |
