Replying to: udsav (Mar 01, 2005 3:52 pm) Also ordered the homelink from Conicelli (Online) for $70.00. The unit(OEM) replaces the current overhead console. has the two lights, sunglass holder, and sunroof switch - it adds three homelink buttons. Very easy install about 10 min. dealer wanted 300.00 to install. READING THIS FORUM HAS REALLY PAID OFF!! THANKS EVERYONE!

We've been car shopping this week and have settled on either the SR5 4Runner or Honda Pilot. The Pilot EX-L has leather, 3rd row seat, sunroof, and LOTS of other creature comforts. In our opinion, the Pilot has the nicer interior of the two. We are willing to concede the leather in the 4Runner, however definitely want BOTH 3rd row seating as well as sunroof. From all the inventory I have seen as well as Toyota website, I just learned that you can have one or the other but not both at SR5 or Limited trim levels! How ridiculous is that?!? The only way to have both is to get an aftermarket sunroof which we're apprehensive about. Anyone have experience with an aftermarket sunroof in the 4Runner?

Does anybody know about any type of towing mirrors available for an 04 4Runner sport. Prefer something that fits over existing mirror like CIPA makes for Ford & Chev products, but am open to ideas. So far all I have found are mirrors that are very generic and clamp onto side of car, not very attractive at ALL! Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Best Buy installed a satellite radio, new reciever, and 4 new speakers in my 2004 4runner. Afterwards the heat seemed to have on setting: totally on (or else I turn it off). Could they have misconnected/damaged hoses or thermostat during the install? I know they broke my lock mechanism on a rear door, and sent me off with the 2 upfront speakers rattling in the door: they seem incompetent. Do I now go back and fight with them about this? Thanks!
