Yes, the directions are in the same place in the manual. If you have a newer "rolling code" opener the process is a bit more difficult since it involves a ladder to reach the control unit of the opener and you have 30 seconds to complete the programing.

Oh BTW; My dealer matched the Partznet price of $76.00 for the Homelink and the Partznet price on the Driver's Side Assist Handle w/Plugs. I ordered it on Saturday and got it on Monday.

Lukeg, How much cost you the navigation system?? I have a 03 Runner and I want to install the Nav System as well.

Is it very difficult or you have to take your truck to the dealer?

Thanks

Illuminated vanity mirror & Electrochromatic rearview mirror? by bpatch2

I would like to add the Limited sun visor with the illuminated vanity mirror to the passenger side of my '04 Sport Edition 4Runner, and also the electrochromatic rearview mirror. I found a vendor to supply both, but can't tell how hard it would be to get power to them. Since the mirror is listed as an option for my vehicle, I think wiring for the mirror might be in place, but not for the visor. Has anyone else tried this, or have recommendations for me? I'm pretty handy, but have no clue about how to remove the headliner if that's required. Thanks!

Oh yeah,

Make sure you have the newest Navigation DVD. Version 4.1 is not accurate. Toyota has a Limited Service campaign for the new version, 4.2.

It shouldn't be too bad running a power wire up the window post if it's not supplied from the factory. Did you try looking under the light assembly/sun glass holder? If it's not there you should be able to tap into the power for the light.
I am also looking for the rearview mirror but thru Toyota they say it's about $600.00.
Can you pass on the vendor name / e-mail address.

New tires for 03 4runner sr5 by newto4r

Can someone please help. I have an 03 4runner with 265/70/16 tires on stock sr5 rims and would like to have a "bigger/bolder" look (like the sport or limited - I believe that they have 17 inch rims). Can someone recommend bigger tires without them looking too aggressive or without having to do a suspension lift?

I have an 04 4runner 4x4 with 4.0L v6 and 4spd auto. I want to tow a lite trailer that weighs 2200# dry with a max weight of 3150#. Will be towing in mountains about half the time. Should I add a trans cooler?
Thanks

Winch by packmann

I just ordered a 2005 4Runner Sport which will arrive in April. i have made a major lifestyle change and now live at a 6 acre site in the central California mountains. My house is at the top of a plot of land which slopes at a 70 degree angle. i want to protect my house from potential fires this summer. and there are many downed trees below my house. I am contemplating getting a Warn winch (9000 lb.0) to pull up braches which I chain saw on the slope below my house. The 4Runner will have a rear trailer hitch, and I plan on attaching a winch on a receiver bracket with an aircraft-type electrical connection to my battery to winch up the cut timber. Have any of you tried this set-up, and can you give me any advice? There is an asphalt road above the slope, and i figure on parking the 4Runner on the road and winching up the downed trees.
