Try going to Cabelas.com. They have a product called the Anti-Rattle Hitch Bracket. You won't have any more rattling and it only costs $11.99 + shipping.

Has anyone used a TRD Oil filter for a 2003 4Runner V8 and if so what model#? My Dealer refused to put on a 00602-90915-004 they said it was the wrong filter however TRD say's it is the correct filter. Some web sites say that is the correct # others say it should be 00602-90915-007 does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi corancher,

Thanks for your clear instructions.

I read your post and I decided to buy the Homelink system in partznet as you said. The price was exactly as you mentioned but when I was trying to install it I found put the there was not instruction manual to program the homelink? so where can I get the operating manual?? it was not shipped in my homelink system???

Where can I find the programming instructions or the operating manual.

Thanks for your help

Homelink programming by corancher

I don't have ready access to the vehicle operating manual at the moment, but in my 2003 manual I just looked in the index for "garage door" and found the instructions for programming.

Perhaps others can check their 2004 or 2005 manuals in case this information has been moved.

Yes, the directions are in the same place in the manual. If you have a newer "rolling code" opener the process is a bit more difficult since it involves a ladder to reach the control unit of the opener and you have 30 seconds to complete the programing.

Oh BTW; My dealer matched the Partznet price of $76.00 for the Homelink and the Partznet price on the Driver's Side Assist Handle w/Plugs. I ordered it on Saturday and got it on Monday.

Lukeg, How much cost you the navigation system?? I have a 03 Runner and I want to install the Nav System as well.

Is it very difficult or you have to take your truck to the dealer?

Thanks

Illuminated vanity mirror & Electrochromatic rearview mirror? by bpatch2

I would like to add the Limited sun visor with the illuminated vanity mirror to the passenger side of my '04 Sport Edition 4Runner, and also the electrochromatic rearview mirror. I found a vendor to supply both, but can't tell how hard it would be to get power to them. Since the mirror is listed as an option for my vehicle, I think wiring for the mirror might be in place, but not for the visor. Has anyone else tried this, or have recommendations for me? I'm pretty handy, but have no clue about how to remove the headliner if that's required. Thanks!

Oh yeah,

Make sure you have the newest Navigation DVD. Version 4.1 is not accurate. Toyota has a Limited Service campaign for the new version, 4.2.
