I'm looking to purchase an auto-dimming rear view mirror for my 2004 Sport, and I'm trying to figure out what type of mount the mirror has before I go torqueing it off the windshield by mistake. Has anybody removed their mirror, specifically on a 2004? I guess they changed the mount from 2003 to 2004. thanks jd |

Just answered my own question. It is a wedge mount, so don't try to turn it off. The plastic cover against the glass has one tab on each side holding it to the mount. Snap this piece back and you'll see the mount. Pull the tab on the bottom and push the mirror up and off the tab stuck to the window. john dode |

| Has anyone had their dealer install a rear spoiler on a 04 4 runner? If so, is there anything I should be aware of or look out for? Or should I order the car and have it installed at the factory. Any advice would be appreciated. Apparently, you can not get a rear spoiler on an 04 4 runner SR5 in the Northeast/Mid Atlantic region. | |
| The dealer installed spoiler is slightly different than the factory one. On the dealer installed one the light wraps over the bottom of the spoiler. I think because it is an LED light. | |
| Apart from a toyota dealer, looking for reputable sources/websites where to buy a heavy duty cargo mat/liner for SR5 2004 w/3rd row seat. | |

I have recently added a Terk XM Commander to my 2003 V8 4Runner Limited and had it installad at Circuit City. Their installation department actually did a pretty good job and it took them approximately 2 hours to complete. I had the XM display unit installed on the raised lip between the cupholders and the gear selector area. It complements the interior colors very well. There is only a small protruding wire that would indicate that this was an aftermarket install, but is not very noticeable. The XM module itself is hidden in the dash while I had the extremely small magnetic antenna located on the rear right corner of the roof close to the roof rack. The sound quality is incredible with 121 XM channels to choose from. I highly recommend this product. Unfortunately, it is not portable as other XM units are. Also, you will lose the functionality of the steering wheel mounted controls for changing channels, but adjusting the audio volume is not affected. The XM Commander Kit also includes a wireless remote and is easy to use. |

| I was wondering if anyone had the optional Exhaust Tip by Valor installed on to their 4Runner. Is there any change in the exhaust note? I am considering to purchase one for my 4Runner. Any input? | |

I see from searching that some of you have installed the Borla dual exhaust, but have any of you installed the TRD catback exhaust system on your V8 4Runner? Any feedback? I would be interested in knowing if there was any noticeable change in performance. Also, is it significantly louder? I don't mind a little extra noise, but I don't want to wake up the neighbors when I go to work in the morning. Any info would be appreciated. |

| Have one and it looks OK but no change in sound. It's purely cosmetic. | |
| Thanks for the info....I think I'll be ordering one soon. | |
