Acura TSX, Sedan
#3430 of 5064 2007 TSX Auto (w/o nav)
Aug 25, 2007 (6:50 pm)
We just bought a 2007 TSX, Silver-Quartz, auto trans, w/o navigation for $25,598.00 + (Tax, title, license, etc. - $1,599.88 for TX sales tax, $61.05 Dealer's Inventory tax, $33.00 title fee, $77.30 License/Registration fee, $21.75 inspection sticker, $50.00 documentary fee) + $2,200 for 7yr extended warranty) The OTD price was $29,640.98. We bought it at Sterling McCall Acura in Houston. We were going to pay cash, but decided to finance for 2.9% interest. Our salesman said he could only lower the price $1,000 if we financed. No prepayment penalty so we can pay it off immediately if we want. There were only 3 2007 TSX's remaining on the lot. I probably should have haggled over some of those bs fees and probably shouldn't have bought the extended warranty.
Did we get a good deal?

Bought at Frankel (Cockeysville), they price matched to Pohanka. Initially contacted all dealerships via their website. 2007's could be had for about 1k less at most dealerships.
Initial impressions are great.

I am being told that window VIN etching is something I should get for $189.
Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

sounds good except for the extended warranty-there is a forum in edmonds that deals with extended warranties-you should read it.

I hope this isn't late...
IMO Those dealer packages are mostly GARBAGE ! You can look-up several "60 Minutes" or other INvestigative TV Show or web sites and read that they provide don't provide any value or cost the dealer anything even near what they charge...But it's up to you.
I just bought my '08 TSX, 5sp AT, No Nav but with Fl Mats, Wheel Locks and Mud Flaps for $26,800 (+ TTL). The only extra charges were for MA State Insp ($29), New PLates ($65), Insurance Cert & Oth Paperwork (mostly a sham too !) ($129).

kts62, I'm about to make a decision on the TSX and was curious about the price you paid. What part of the country are you from? I received an offer of $27,500 with no accessories. How tough was it to negotiate the price?
#3436 of 5064 What do you all think?
Aug 27, 2007 (7:35 am)
I just leased a 2008 TSX w/Navi
$2700 down (incl 1st pmt)
$371.62 a month (FL TAX included)
I think it may be around 350 before tax.
They also threw in road hazard(which I can cancel within 30 days or something and get $377 cash back), window tint, and I got a protection package (cargo tray, wheel locks, mud guards, etc).
What do you all think? The guy was acting like he was giving it away... of course. Just wandering how much BS he was actually feeding me. I always like to think I get the best deal... I had to work pretty hard to get this price, so I hope it was worth it.

Something just doesn't seem right. Acura is having a TSX lease special until 9/4 and your deal varies from it enough to raise my eyebrow. Go to Acura's website and compare their deal with yours. Maybe your variables differ, but double check for peace of mind.

The dealer offered to remove the added accessories on the car that make up the protection package, and reduce the selling price by $379. I decided to keep them. I know that I would have saved money by getting the accessories on-line and installing them myself... Anyway, according to my calculations, it seems like you paid invoice for yours. Congratulations!!! The documentation fee I paid was $45, it seems you paid $129. Other than that, you got a fantastic deal.

I tried but was not able to get the free oil change. However, the dealer does have promotions for oil change and tire rotation for $35, which is not bad. I did get a free nice polo shirt with the Acura logo. Mine is a 2008 automatic, no nav, carbon gray pearl with ebony interior.
