i am the proud owner of an 06 acura tsx and I am definately not a snob. I bought the car because i was able to afford it and since I put alot of miles on my cars it was what I thought was best for me. Now if I wanted to be a snob I should be driving a ferrari (LOL) If i am a snob when I drive my tsx what am I when I am in my hyundai. My parents own an accord. I rather drive my tsx but then again mine is MT and theirs is automatic. I do agree with your statement- just look at the many huge houses that probably have huge mortgages and practically no furniture. looks great on the outside.we live in a small house with a small mortgage but it is furnished. one other thing my good friend is a acura service manager so he got me a great price on the car and I also get good deals on my service.

I think you misunderstood. I meant now that a better car is available for less money.

since it is a new design then I will wait to see if it is better besides the money factor. tsx is supposed to be a redesign for the 09 model so I will wait to compare the two.

You misunderstood the issue a 2nd time.

(Why do I bother to blog here.)

I meant a purchase decision now - current TSX vs. 08 Accord.

And what's to wait an see, the reviews of the new accord are everywhere.

Sorry - I know you have a TSX. But don't take it personally.

Your car is fine. (Its just that the improvements have made the new accord a better car).

Thx for your reply CP18;
Negotiating Reduced Cap Cost in a lease is tough, hope you come out all right and enjoy the car.

I considered new Accord, didn't like it so much (Too Big for me). Liked TSX Better. Didn't want to wait for second MY of the Accord (Yes, Even Honda has first model year problems to iron out - see '06 Civic). I Got good deal on TSX (At least I think so), So I Bought it.

As a PS:
The Dealer filled the TSX w/ 87 octane gas. I was PO'd but it is running well and I got 32.6mpg in my First Tankfull!
Admittedly - I was easy on the throttle trying to see what the TSX is capable of and my commute is 80% highway and 20% Dense City Hi-Rise w/Traffic and Stop Lights, but I am quite happy with the MPG & Performance results !

(And Yes, I did refill with 93 Octane and verify the MPG #'s with hand calcs...)

Good point.

Actually two good points.

The accord is in its initial model year (more trouble prone) and its assembled here.

Sadley enough, I trust the Japanese assembly better and the TSX is manufactured in Japan while accords tend to be in Ohio.
