Replying to: elwoodblues (May 29, 2007 2:39 pm) I decided to take another tack and found that there's a car buying service/broker that's partnered with the company where I work. They don't charge fees direct from the customer--they work it out with the dealer. They ended up using a contact from the first dealer I went to and he agreed to order me an '08 for $900 over invoice (whatever that turns out to be). Given my experience in this market, I felt that it was a fair offer and I accepted. I talked to the guy today and it looks like I'm getting one of the initial '08s, Silver over Ebony, 6MT navi in mid- to late-August. I think it's the best result I could have come up with here, so I'm happy. It's going to be a long 2.5 months, though!

The car is just off the truck and they need a PDI done and I can pick it up only tomorrow. I paid 25,700 (includes destination) plus a 595 acquisition fee since it is a lease. Its 2000 + 495 (first month, title, doc, plates) down and 293 a month for 36 months and 36k miles. There were no other fees except the tax which was around $1825. Thanks again

When i paid 29,800 Drive out couple of months back when there were no signs of 2008. My TSX has black on black with navigation , window tints and wheel locks. 29,800 including all fees, registration, title and 8.5 % sales tax. try to negotiate more those who are planning to buy one in near future. I know someone who bought the same car last month for 29,400 out of door and everything that i got was included in that with 8.5% sales tax. He could get benefit of 3.99% APR but i had to go for 5.89% APR from honda as the APR offer wasn't out there when i bought mine.... Good luck to all who are going to be proud owner of TSX !!! |

Replying to: nic426 (May 31, 2007 4:16 pm) 08 essentially the same as 07 - slight increase in MSRP - arriving June-August 09 - major change - arriving in the first half of 2008, perhaps as early as March May I ask - why purchase an 08 instead of an 07? Prices on 07's are low right now (08's won't be discounted much in the early going) and AHFC has some attractive low-rate finance and lease programs which likely won't be available on the 08's until much later in the model run.

Replying to: rujo (May 31, 2007 5:25 pm) Plus, if you take a long-term view, people buying '07 cars now are, in a sense, buying 1-year-old cars when it comes time to sell down the road. If 2007 models become available in August of 2006 (which most do), when you go to sell your car in, say, 2010, people generally look at a 2007 as being a 4-year-old car. You buy it today, you get 3 years out of it by 2010 and people are treating it as a year older. Buy a 2008 when they first come out, you get the benefit of the whole year. Plus, who knows? Maybe they'll add DRLs or traffic on the nav or something else cool--they aren't likely to take any features away.

Looking to Lease an '07 TSX no Navi. I was quoted a price of $26,900 + TTL (said invoice was $26,451). Anyone in the area do better recently? What additional cost can I expect to pay? (Acquisition cost, security deposit, etc) What would be a good money factor for this area? Thanks.

Replying to: bojanglingus (Jun 01, 2007 10:01 am) I have 2 internet quotes from separate dealers on base TSX that are substantially the same. 26,950 + 595 acq. 850-900 up front costs (conv. fee, 1st month, registration) 371/month (w/ 6% sales tax) .00110 money factor 16,680 residual To test the waters, I approached another dealer who was not as forthcoming w/ its internet quote as the other two dealerships w/ a 1k down payment which would include upfront costs, 360/month including sales tax. The guy wrote back calling my numbers unrealistic given the low inventory. And invited me to come in to speak with them if i was ready to consider "REAL" numbers. In my area, the dealers seem to be pointing the inventory shortage (although I believe they will be getting in one more shipment of 2007s). Does anyone have any suggestions on negotiating when the car isn't in stock - at any of the local dealerships? I do not want to go out of state. |
