I purchased a demo Acura back in 2000, and it was never titled, so it was considered new. Since then, the laws where I lived have changed, and demos are now titled, sold as used/preowned. That means you pay taxes on the full price of the car, instead of the difference of the new and any trade-in you may have. Check with your dealership, they should be able to help you.
I looked at two 2005 TSX non Navi demos earlier this week. One had 15k miles, the other 35k. Both we being sold for $24,995. I smiled and walked away, realizing a new would only be grand more.
#2851 of 5064 Buying in Colorado Bottom line going in?
Aug 25, 2006 (3:14 pm)
I just ordered the consumer reports so I see the 'bottom line' and know to work up. I want one with navigation and have certain color choices I want.
I need to know what should my bottom line be?
Has anyone bought in Colorado and have a favorite dealer?

What are the differences between 2006 TSX 5-speed automatic and 2006 TSX 5-speed automatic with navigation system besides navigation unit? Thanks

Widen your search area or have the dealer order you one. This time of year might be tricky in terms of ordering - you might still be able to get an 06 but might be get an 07 depending on when the factory changes MY production.

The dealer told my husband and I today that if we ordered one it would have to be the 07 and that they won't bargin at all and the MSRP is $1000 more.
We are in deep as we sold my car and thought this was a great time of year -- we were wrong
I did widen my search and have found some on the east coast but then how in the world do I bargin and get them here???
I may have to get gray, gray or the other gray

Sounds to me like you need to try another dealer. On the two coasts the TSX can be had for invoice and some dealing should be the norm elsewhere. Your best bet would be a large metro area with several dealers. If you want a deal a road trip may be in order. Some CA dealers may be willing to deliver the car for a price.
Considering there's virtually nothing changed for 07, Acura may try to increase the MSRP by $1000 (that may have been BS from the dealer - prices have not been anounced) but it won't get as many buyers. The main reason the TSX sells so well is its price below 30K. As soon as the price crosses that 30K threshold (the non nav would get close, the NAV would be well over), buyers may start looking at other alternatives.
This could be a move by Honda to test the waters in preparation for much higher pricing for the new 08 TSX. Given the rather high pricing of the RDX, it would be reasonable to assume 07 may be the last year for a sub 30K Acura (no more RSX).
#2858 of 5064 Buying 06 TSX in Atlanta What's the bottom line price?
Aug 28, 2006 (9:38 am)
I've been looking at leasing or purchasing an 06 TSX with automatic and NO Navigation System in Atlanta, GA. There seems to be no good deals on leases. Has anyone purchased a TSX in Atlanta recently? Let me know your bottom line pricing before tax, title and license.

I've got a drive out price of $27,132.32 before tax. USAA said that was a good deal. They could have offered $27,100 without the navigation and with automatic. I've been told to I should also ask they provide a loaner car when having the car serviced.
