For those of you who buy your car via email from the dealership, are you specifiying your color and and transmision choice to them? If so, how do you know if they have the car you want? Or are you assuming they will get the car from another dealer if they don't have what you want?

If you send a general e-mail without listing color & options, it's difficult for them to give you an accurate response, and prices will vary by thousands of dollars. If the vehicle you want is available in the area, they can work with another dealership to get it for you. kirstie_h Roving Host Host, Future Vehicles & Smart Shopper discussions |

FYI TSX/NAV holdback is $876; TSX/non-NAV is $816

Replying to: agiletto (May 20, 2005 10:28 am) I'm planning on purchasing a '05 TSX/Auto/Non-Navi this upcoming Saturday. I'm mostly interested in a carbon gray with ebony interior but could also go with the Satin Silver. I will start requesting quotes this week. Is the $816 holdback still in effect? For Miami, is $25,500 including destination but before TTL and dealer fee a reasonable price? Also, any idea if Honda Financing will have low APR offers for Memorial Day weekend? Thanks in advance.

Consumer Reports says that you should negotiate for prices by telling the dealer that you are looking at other cars. For example, the Toyato Camry XLE is actually cheaper than TSX, I think. Tell the dealer you are considering the Camry. By the way, the Camry is an outstanding car. |
