I understand that today is the end of the month, and they want to make their numbers. Sometimes Honda Corporate throws in incentives up to $1000 per car if the dealership reaches certain number of sales. Maybe this one car is the magic number they have to reach to make $15,000 on all the other cars they sold in the month? I just wasn't aware of any incentives on the TSX from Honda Corporate.

Here in New England, every Presidents Day Holiday all the car dealers have big "Washington's Birthday Sales." Huge newspaper ads, TV ads, etc. A car salesman I know says it is just a big come on. The "sales" price is the same as yesterday and tomorrow. The "Washington's Birthday Sale" is just to get people excited because they think they are getting the biggest savings. If this price is real, it should be available tomorrow and the day after.

Moving one car off the lot insures that another will be coming to take its place. As long as one is aware of such tactics as bait-and-switch, he'd have to be pretty naive to fall for them. Nobody is going to force anyone to sign their name. The thing I'd be most cognizant of is fluff fees and the like. There sure isn't any harm in blueiedgod going in and talking to them. He may well end up getting a great deal. Good advice, though, on pinning the internet manager down on a price, if you can. Just my $0.02 worth. Johnny |

Some advice please..Should I negotiate the car price first, then tell them the accessories I want? I am going to want the spoiler, door guards, moonroof visor and window visors. The spoiler retails for over $500.

Replying to: chiefjs (Apr 01, 2005 1:30 pm) We negotiated our price for the car over the phone, knowing that we would make a stink over the car when we went to pick it up and insist they throw in the all-weather mats and trunk tray. Those were the only accessories we wanted, and we got them thrown in when we picked up the car. |

After looking at several cars during my search the last few months, the TSX is the only one that turns my head every time. I'm hoping for a '05 Satin Silver/Ebony/Auto/Non-Navi (although I also like the Meteor Silver). I'm ready to buy now or no later than Memorial Day weekend. I understand $25.5k is about an average selling price before TT&L and dealer fees. Is this doable? My only delay in buying is financing incentives. In the past, I've always purchased cars and gotten rates of 0.9% and 1.9%, respectively. I'm new to Honda/Acura and am aware Acura rarely offers these rates...especially for a hot seller. A co-worker purchased a TSX with 2.9% apr during Memorial Day weekend last year. They also offered this rate during the end of 2004. Is it reasonable to think American Honda Financing will offer a similar incentive this Memorial Weekend? Or should I just buy now? Also, I'm in South Florida. Does anyone have good dealer experiences to share for the area? |

| Theres only one acura dealer in the monterey bay in seaside and when I checked out to see what they had in their lot there was like only 1 car for each model. I just happened to stop by while my gf was at a toyota dealer. Should I just work with the dealers in the bay area up north since it seems there will be more competition since theres many dealers in that one area? | |
