Just a quick thanks to everyone who has posted. Here is my story. I had been looking for a 2005 Meteor Silver TSX w/Navi for about 3 months. Lyin’. I contacted David McDavid Acura in Dallas, TX who gave me a written quote but refused to honor it after I accepted. I contacted Acura in Torrance, CA about this but they told me to “suck it up”, the dealers could do whatever they wanted. Cheatin’. I then contacted Goodson Acura in Irving, TX who provided me a quote but it didn’t include the destination charge, they tacked on another $500 in fees, and told me the only way to get the car was to wait 90+ days for them to order one. Stealin’. All is not bad though, after two 5 minute phone calls, and one email, I feel like I stole it from Vandergriff Acura in Arlington, TX. They dealer traded, something Goodson wouldn’t do, and sold me the car for about $1600 less then David McDavid’s second offer. I got it for $27, 400 including their standard window tint and wheel locks pkg. They were great. No pressure from the Internet sales guys or the finance guys. I spent less then an hour in the dealer, which included filling out paperwork, inspecting the car, and seeing if they could beat my pre-approved financing. If anyone is looking for a car in the DFW area make sure you contact them first.

Buying 1st car out of college. Fairly confident I can get black TSX with NAV and protection pkg. (locks, trunk mat, splash guards) and spoiler for 28k or a few hundred over. Pretty sure this is a good deal from what I've seen. What is a realistic expectation for financing and does anyone know what the going rate for insurance is (only car/medium coverage). |

When I was overseas we used to be able to order a car at a good discount and have the car waiting to be picked up when I got home. These car dealers should be giving special discounts and financing to our military personnel. |

chiefjs, The overseas car sales from th BX are for American made cars. I wish the dealers would have some kind of incentives for us or even be willing to work a deal with me. With me being overseas and not being there in person, they don't seem to want to talk about anything but MSRP. I won't let them rob me, I will look at another car if they can't give me some kind of price break. I will be back in the states in less then two weeks and will see what they give me in person. I was hoping that someone here would know of a good dealer to work with in the VA area.
