I wonder what is going on with the TMV edmunds provides for the TSX? As stated earlier I was able to get $1300 off my 05 6MT non-navi. However, TMV comes in at sticker. Seems like people placing blind trust in the Edmunds number would pay $1300 more. Also, seems as though the Dallas market must be very competitive as they have some of the best prices posted here. |

Total was $28,400 + tax and fees. I initially got quotes via the internet. Once I had my best price, I called the dealer nearest me and asked if they would beat this price. I wound up paying about $300 more than the best offer I had, but I did get free lifetime oil changes. So the $300 difference was not that big a deal. I also got 2.9% financing for 60 mos. I feel that I got a good deal for the car. I love driving it and am very happy with it. Good luck with your purchase.

Replying to: indydriver (Jan 01, 2005 4:47 am) Thanks for that factoid, pretty much syncs with what I've observed and explains why the regular "D" setting has shifts at such low RPM's. Also explains how the engine pulls quite nicely starting at around 4000. Trick with the "D3" setting is keeping it up there, but I'm getting the hang of it. . . |

Replying to: karmann8888 (Jan 02, 2005 10:03 pm) Does that also include their add on of "RED ALERT." They are the only dealer that I know of that offers it. I did not pay for it. They wanted $895 for it. I told them that I was not going to pay anything over the $31,000. Therefore, I did not get it. |

| ... Black/Parchment AT w/NAVI for $28,200, including protection package and sunroof visor. Could have had the car for $27,900 at a competing dealer with the same package, but they tried to stiff me on my trade.... $1500 compared to $3200 for the same car at the winning dealer (Leith Acura, Cary NC). I already own a 2004 Accord EX-V6 w/NAVI and my wife and I both love the car, but we couldn't see buying two of the same car.... and the TSX came the closest to the Accord in bang for the buck. The 2.9% financing special is what convinced us to go ahead and make the purchase. | |

I paid $1715 for extended warranty -> 7 Yr, 100K $500 for GAP and $215 for Tires and wheels insurance(they said that they will replace the tires if the blow out and the wheels if the get bent etc) What do you guys think ? Are these useful ? I still have the option to cancel. Thanks.

Replying to: rith (Jan 04, 2005 9:06 am) Either way, I'd pass on the warranty. Honda builts a resonably reliable car and it is very unlikely you'll sustain $1715 (which, btw, is a ridculously inflated price) worth of repairs in years 5 - 7. The Acura wheels will almost never get bent. They're very, very durable. They scratch easy though. It would cost about $800 - $900 to get four brand new replacements over the internet. The tires are low profile, and easily damaged.

Apologies for stating the obvious, but that seems like a win-win situation. GAP: I bought the car with no money down. If in the first yr, lets say 3 months from now, my car gets totalled and my insurance company pays me even base price, i will still be $2K short(taxes) and this $500 covers that. I plan to remove it after a yr though(and so it will have costed me $125). I would have made close to 6k on payments and hopefully my TSX would not have depreciated that much.
