Replying to: wwest (Mar 22, 2007 9:54 pm) I was unable to find anything in the owner's manual regarding top speed limiter, however i checked lexus website and the new rx350 is limited to 112 mph, would it have been less for rx330? Has anyone else tried to see what their 330 is capable of in terms of top speed. Drive Safe.

I have a 2000 RX 300 that I bought as a CPO vehicle 4 1/2 years ago for my son. Now my wife uses it as her everyday car. It has 88K miles on it. It runs great (I have had to put some $ into it over the years to keep it running but that's to be expected). My question is, am I likely to have any major expenditures upcoming as it approaches 100K? This will be a major factor in deciding whether to keep this car or trade it in. Replying to: topspin628 (Jul 08, 2007 6:05 am) I have a '99 and the next big expenditure is replacing the timing belt and other scheduled maintenance at 90K. Have a independent shop do it and it shouldn't cost too much. I had a bunch of maintenance including the timing belt, 2 new brake rotors, and transmission flush done and my bill was around 900. Make sure to replace the transmission fluid every 15-20K, my transmission failed at 65K but was covered by warranty. I have found that the RX needs very little care and feeding and is very reliable. Of course with age, little things will go wrong, the only repair I have had in the past few years was one of the rear door locks went and I had to replace it. It cost like $400, the part alone (a dealer item) was most of the expense. I plan on keeping mine for years to come.

Hello all- I am considering getting a RX330. I luv the bamboo color. I seem to see a lot of bamboo tan. Does anyone know the difference between the two colors?   Thnks Deneen

Does anyone get the message (No POI's in the Area) when looking for POI's such as Home Depot, Lowes,Gap,Discount Tire and Cheveron. It is wierd because it can find others like Target. The ones I need it can't find and the Dealer has told me that was the operator. I asked them to show me how to properly imput the info and they then came back with the answer that I needed an updated disc. I agreed to let them update the disc and they said they would then be able to show me that it would work properly. I had never updated it from the beginning because I have always been unhappy with the Navigation System but get so frustrated with not finding anything, I didn't use it much. They did update the disc and couldn't figure out why those POI's would not come up. They didn't charge me for the disc because they could not make it work to find Home Depot was my specific location along with others. 5 days later they call me and said my system was not capible of being that specific on POI's. My complaint that Lexus ignores is that it will find Home Depot in California but not Las Vegas. Why does my car like Calif??? They did give me an update for free but I am stuck being dissatisfied with my Navigation System that the Salesmen tell you will do everything. We buy luxury cars that do everything but can't find simple POI's. My husband had a Escalade and I would call Onstar because Lexus Navigation System is very dissapointing. I drive a '05 RX330 and I just purchased the new '07, rel. 2 to 3 wks ago, Nav DVD. I was wandering if anyone has installed there own DVD. The disc was $265 plus the dealer wanted another $105.00 to install. I thought I would give it a try, however, I started thinking I believe I can insert the disc, but is there any programing to involved to get it to work.
