I have a 2006 325i with manual transmission. This morning I had the a/c off and the sunroof open while driving to the train station. It is only a 5 mile ride with about 12 traffic lights. At one of the red lights, my hand strayed to the leather pouch surrounding the stick shift and I could feel that it was much warmer than the 65F air. No other part of the car inside felt warm. Is this normal? manualguy

After searching these forums and the net I am still unsure of whether to buy the iPod integration option. I went for a test drive but the dealer did not appear to be know too much either and suggested that I could just use the auxilary input. I do not plan to get the idrive and I have a 3rd generation iPod. Do the existing radio/steering wheel controls merit the the integration cost ($400)? I presume the "ram din" connector http://www.sik.com/ram_din.php may suffice?

| Could you share your experience when you returned a lease car and did not buy anything from the dealer? How much did you pay to return the car? My lease will end up in Jun. BMW Finance sent me a scarily article showing how much I may need to pay if I do not buy/lease the car or another BMW. The mail even said, I have to pay for a CD changer which has been never installed to the lease. Sales and Leasing Manager at my local dealer told me I may need to pay at least $1,000 for tires if I do not start a new lease. I will buy a Toyota minivan (it was a big decision after BMW.). I would like to know how much I really have to pay to return the car. The dealer does not tell exactly during pre-inspection. My BMW 325i 06 is at very good condition. Thaks, | |

They will check your car and give you a list of possible areas that may cost you money (always cosmetic). They will do this if it's a decent dealership. It sounds like your current dealer is a jerk. Check elsewhere. You can return your car to any dealership and really that could be the difference.
