If you are seriously considering Touring, be sure you can stand or can afford $1200 for a set of 4 replacement tires and $1600 for a set of 4 snow tires if you need them. Yes, that is really the price. Prices are high, availability and choice low. Only Michelin makes Pax. Only Pax tires fit on Pax rims. Also, very few tire stores service, repair or replace Pax. Few have the attachment to align a Pax car. Dealers are hit and miss. Some cannot repair or replace Pax. And on a weekend, Pax tire service may be unavailable. Michelin and Honda may promise everything but something this new has gaps in real world application and service. There are Pax posts here and elsewhere. Be sure you want all the good and bad features of Pax.

The only way for you to get the Power Liftgate without incurring a major expense is to trade it in for an 07 Touring.
And I doubt Honda will ever offer an AWD minivan- they'll just leave that small niche market to Toyota and build models for, perhaps, 90% of minivan buyers.

In Japan the Odyssey and other Honda Minivans already have AWD as an option! You will definitely see that as a option here in the States sometime soon.
Also for those looking for what the next Odyssey may look like check out Honda's Website in Japan. You will see features from this vehicle called the Honda ELYSION morph over to the next Generation Odyssey.

that right before the 2005 Odyssey redesign, everybody thought that it would look a lot like the Elysion, yet the Odyssey turned out to be a completely different automobile.

Vtec.net is pretty confident that PAX will become optional on Touring models, although that strikes some people as a decision that doesn't make sense, as Honda dealers with the PAX equipment are growing daily.

2008... Odyssey

Does anyone think Honda will make 8 seats as an option for 2008 rather than having the "link" plus 1 that it has today? We are expecting our third child in Aug, and currently drive a 2003 Odyssey LX. Would like to get a three seater second row... would be most happy with a split 60/40 second row instead of three different chairs.. I guess most of the Honda designers are not family men/women with three children..Might have to look at the 8 seater Sienna. I absolutly do not like the looks of the Sienna....

I doubt it. We have a 06 ODY EX-L and love it (and compared it to the Toyota). We use the 8th chair (clearly the middle/least desirable seat) as the last possible option. We pack 3 (preferrably smaller bodies) in the back BEFORE getting out the middle seat. The middle seat doesn't slide at all so that person is subject to what happens to each chair on the sides and can get into a real lack of elbow room. I prefer to put a child in that seat (that loves the view of the RES, doesn't care about legroom, and it short so they don't block the view of the ones from the back row). Of course we really only use the 8th chair on trips anyway - of which we've done a few now.
Again, I love the Honda ODY...
The gap between the seats is pretty wide making the rear bench pretty accessible/usable. A friend of mine has 4 kids (with a Sienna) and he says they use the 2+2+2 arrangment most of the time anyway.
Can't you just hear it "stop touching me"!

We have actually had a different experience . . . There are two girls (8 & 10 yo) in our neighborhood that car pool with our 8 yo daughter in our '07 ody. No 1 girl wants to sit in the far back so we put in the center seat. Now they fight over who sits in the center because it has the best view! Even when we are driving with only my daughter in the van, she still chooses to sit in the center.
