In addition to the previously mentioned changes to the 2007 Odyssey, I would also like to point out that a Grey Interior is now standard in the Ocean Mist Metallic Touring, and that the color that is replacing Sage Brush Pearl, Nimbus Grey Metallic, comes standard with an Olive Interior on all of the trim lines, as opposed to the 2005 and 2006 Sage Brushes that came with a choice of Ivory or Olive. I also found that most of the Odysseys that came in Sage Brush Pearl had an Ivory Interior. I looked really hard to find one with the Olive, and it looks so much BETTER than Ivory. It hides the dirt better and the biggest thing that I hated on the Ivory, was that the top half of the dashboard was still black with the same brushed silver beneath it. The combination did not look good at all with the bright Ivory color beneath it. I thought that it was rather cheap looking. I also liked the idea of having the less common combination. And not that anyone really cares, but the weight on each trim line has increased by: LX..............................................................................- ................................................................6 Pounds EX..............................................................................- ................................................................0 Pounds EX-L............................................................................- ...............................................................4 Pounds Touring.........................................................................- ............................................................44 Pounds I just thought that you might be interested. |

I bought a new '07 Ody in November because we are expecting twins in May. I bought the EX-L because I just couldn't see the price premium for the Touring especially being forced into the run-flat tires. My question is if i can get the power liftgate installed in the EX-L or is it built in at the factory. I REALLY want this and almost bought the Toyota but their pricing is whacked! Anyone know if I can get this?

not practical, although theoretically you probably could get the liftgate added. IMO, the cheapest way to get the power gate now is to trade in the EX-L! |

Does anyone know if the Touring Edition is a better Drive than the EX model? I've heard there a difference... Please fill me in...

Replying to: georgey (Jan 19, 2007 5:12 pm) I drove both the models & found the Touring to be much stiffer on road imperfections. The PAX tires are the main difference - The EX has taller sidewalls which soak up bounces better than the lower profile PAX tires. I've found this same situation with the Honda Accord LX & EX (LX had taller profile tires & rode much better). I've heard the Touring also has a different front sway bar for handling. If you are looking for a great "handling" van either one is a good choice - just depends if you want to spend the extra couple thousand for the Touring. If you want a smooth, quiet highway ride with little road shock - look at the Toyota Sienna or another manufacturer. |
