Before deciding on the Touring model be sure to read the thread on PAX tires.

"Before deciding on the Touring model be sure to read the thread on PAX tires."

Excellent point!

Too bad there's some nice features (such as power hatch) that you can only get on the Touring model which comes with those PAX tires.

Could be another reason to wait for the 2007s, though I do not know if Honda is making any changes in these respects (be it either more features available on the EX trim line, or get-flat tires on the Touring model).

I wouldn't count on Honda having an option of 'normal' non-RFTs on the Touring anytime soon. I've heard scuttlebutt that if anything, Honda will be expanding the 'availability' (ie: standard equipment) of PAX tires on some Accords and the Acura RL (for either '07 or '08 models).

A better bet might be Honda offering the power rear hatch to the EX-L. But I haven't heard anything to that effect either.

If run flat tires are referred to as "RFTs," let's refer to normal tires as "GFTs." "GFTs" stands for get flat tires.

Jt sounds like there are a lot of people who are in need of some good poop on the '07s. Any one out there with reliable data?

Well. . .thank you for responding. To answer your questions:

1. We own the Altima. However, it's probably under one of th worst loan plans known to man. The payments are under $300 and it will be paid off sometime next year. It has about 122k miles and I have no idea what type of repairs to expect.

2. We own the Pilot. The monthly payment is $450 with a really good interest rate, but I think I did it for 5 years - thinking that at some point we would just pay more on the principal but of course that has yet to happen. We have about 4 more years to go. . .

My suggestion is to maintain the status quo for a while after the new baby and see how it goes. The Pilot can fit your 3 kids, though it wouldn't be the first choice of vehicles for most people with 3 kids (myself included). Re-evaluate next year when you get the Altima paid off. If you want to trade the Pilot in on an Odyssey (which probably makes the most sense), do it at a time when the trade in value of your Pilot equals or exceeds the balance owing on your loan. It will probably take about 3 years into your 5 year loan. Trading it in right now would probably be a very costly proposition.

Segwaying back to the topic of this forum, I think that you should wait for a future Odyssey.

07 Features wishlist by gtwendt

I hear what you guys are saying about the RFT's. My wife likes the jumpseat for the middle of the second row on the EX-L better than the no option for that on the Touring. I sure wish they would do this for the EX-L in '07
1 - Bluetooth handsfree on the NAV system
2 - Powerlift hatch
3 - 110 power ports in the back

Or Give the option of no RFT on the Touring - but add the bluetooth handsfree to the NAV.

All of the above, but simplify the climate controls for all (but the LX). The LX is just a pleasure to use with simple rotary dials, but from the EX and up (the automatic version) is just annoying.

Almost my exact wishlist.

My preferred configuration would be an EX-L plus(ranked in order of importance):
nav w/ bluetooth (integrated hands-free phone = big deal for me)
memory seat
power tailgate
upgraded stereo
110v ports

i.e. a Touring w/o Pax or 2nd row center console.
