Nope. My dealer told me the only change it will have are the tail lights, and maybe a color change. I ordered an '06 Ody yesterday, and I am waiting for him to notify me when he knows for sure of any color changes, but there will be nothing major being that it was just redesigned last year.

I am considering buying an '05 at invoice. What much was the '06? Did you pay MSRP, invoice, or somewhere inbetween?
Thanks.

Would you share where you can buy an '05 at invoice. Family needs one. Thanks.

Hi george66,
You'll get a lot more feedback on your potential '05 purchase in our Honda Odyssey: Prices Paid & Buying Experience discussion. It's very active, and members share the pricing that they're seeing all over the country.

If Honda is beginning '06 production in August, when do the cars begin to reach the dealers? Does anyone have a historical memory of how much (if any) Honda cuts the prices on the previous year's model when a new model year comes out?
Thanks

If you are looking for manufacturer rebates on unsold '05s, I wouldn't hold my breath.

If you check the official Honda web site they have posted the new prices and standard features.

You are correct in assuming that Honda likely won't produce many (if any) rebates for their automobiles, but individual dealers here in the south are quite prone to negotiationat purchase time. My aunt traded her 2000 model Ody for an 05, got over blue book for the old one and over 2,000 off sticker (around 28,500 for her EX w/cloth). She bought this at Christmas time when the new Odysseys were still "brand 'spankin' new", and many people didn't expect a price redux. I would think that with a good amount of cross-shopping dealers that you could get a good 10% off of MSRP.

Even if dealer sells you a vehicle at invoice price (cost to dealer), it still gets 4%-5% of the transaction from the manufacture (it's called dealer hold back). Usually MSRP is about 12%-14% higher than the invoice.
