Oklahoma Prices for Mo's by barbar1

I would like any or all help in what I should
expect to pay in my state for a new or 2003
Mo. I also travel in my job, which doesn't allow me much time to sell my great "Honda Accord-EX"
with 180K. Looked up KKB and saw $4346 for price.
But I visited dealers and they will only trade
for $2500, oh yes I know they will take it to
the auction and sell it. But this car has been
garaged kept and babied since I have owned it.
I have all the records, etc. Since I am a woman
they think I am stupid, but I really have been
educating myself on Edmunds and have learned a
great deal. I would like to purchase a Mo with
all options except leather interior. Getting in
and out of the vehicle all day long will be better
with Cloth interior. I have been priced on the
car here from $$29,999 to $35,000. Would like
some feedback.
Thanks,
barbcar1

I purchased a 2004 SL AWD from Collins Nissan here in Louisville in April. I had done my research and told them that I could purchase the vehicle from Carmax in Baltimore for $500 under invoice and could they match that. They did, with no hassle whatsoever. I would suggest that you check with them and also see what Carmax can do at this time.

Hi, Thanks for posting the info. How did you negotiate the price? Did you take any facts with you? Any idea whether the dealers are already getting back annual inventory clearance allowance from the manufacturer? When is the 2005 model due?

I am in for a new SL AWD and looking for a good deal in colorado.

Decent price in VA by phaedrus

I searched the CarMax site (always a good source of info for a 'fair' price) and pulled up the typical 'what others are buying for' price here. MSRP was $35,080; invoice was $32,019; I paid $31,152 after the rebate. Was prepared to drive to White Flint to get it from CarMax, but instead got it from Passport Nissan in Alexandria, Va. with little hassle; they gave fair trade value for my old PT Cruiser, too, and that put the car into the 'affordable' range for me.

How much did you pay out the door (excluding your trade in) ? I am planning for Murano in next couple days and I am also from VA. Can you tell me your options ?

Thanks.

We just bought our SL AWD last night. Rosenthal Nissan - Tysons Corner,VA
Thank you all for the helpful info here.

We are now the proud owners of SL AWD, Pewter/Cafe Latte with the Touring Package and VDC.

We paid dealer invoice price for the vehicle.

For negotiation purposes, I brought with us:

 - Edmunds TMV
 - CarsDirect Target Price
 - An ad from a local dealership for the car at DI
 - the worksheet available on www.carbuyingtips.com

They didn't even try to argue, just shook our hands and said congratulations. Easy as pie.

Also, we arranged pre-approved financing through Capitol One Auto Finance, and when the dealer offered a lower interest rate, we declined it, but took their offer to COAF this morning, and they lowered theirs to an even lower amount. We went from 4.49% to 3.79%

Thanks again for all the helpful advice.

My wife and I bought our Murano in Stone Mtn at the same name dealer. An SL 2WD, no leather, sunroof w/ Bose pkg- sticker was $31,820. I took the edmunds list and a newspaper add for another dealer. The add was for $24999.on 2005 Muranos. Of course, they weren't out yet, so when the salesman called me on it, I simply explained they would give me the 24.9 price anyway. He agreed, added only $1,500 for the sunroof/Bose combo and went and picked up the exact car we wanted at the sister dealer- all on Sunday!! (I mentioned in the Problem/Sloution board that the salesman had copies of edmunds.com for references.)Forgot to add, we got 1.9% thru NMAC
