The price you got it for is pretty good based on what I've seen other people quoted as paying (assuming a zero deductible). Whether or not you need it is an entirely personal decision. It's basically an insurance policy against unplanned repair expenses. If your financally secure enough to afford an unplanned repair a few years from now when your regular warranty expires (5 years 60,000 miles on the engine and transmission) then you may be better off putting the $1400 in a savings account (investment account?) and letting it grow until you need it for repairs or something else if you get lucky and never have significant repair expenses. If your just getting by financially now, and a $500-600 unplanned expense would cause serious pain, then maybe your better off with the warranty. It really is a personal financial decision. |

| Hi everyone! I have been reading alot of the posting here and I was able to get a 04 SL fwd, touring pkg, with mudflaps, nice pinstriping and a service contract (72mo, 75k) out the door price $32,500. I feel this is a great deal. I love driving this vehicle and man does it look great in Silver. | |

i'm right on the verge of pulling the string on one or the other. they are the same price pretty much. the fx is $30k the murano is $28k. both are 2003 2wd with low miles, as new. so, a few grand more for the fx which is how i'm leaning. any input from murano owners? |

I think its a good price and apparently a very common combination SL AWD + Touring pkg. + mats + guards... $31,150 the beauty is that it's tax free |

| Hi: The Nissan Security+Plus at Hall Nissan in Va. Beach 7 yr./ 75K for $1395 is totally gouge. Won't come down so they kept it. The service manager don't speak very well of the other warantee pkgs. available. They bad mouth them. Say they won't pay enough of the cost? | |

I found this forum very helpful in my decision, so here is my experience. I purchased an 04' today with. The 04' was a no brainer for me as I was financing for 3 years and Nissan is offering 0.9% until 3/31/04. SL w/ AWD (black/black) SL Touring Package Moonroof Mud Guards Floor Mats Cargo Protector Sunroof wind deflector MSRP $34,980 Invoice $31,927 Paid $31,600 + tax I could not get a dealer in the NY area to move under invoice for 04' and dealers that were willing to sell under invoice did not have the Murano in stock. I did all my research on the Nissan website and a couple internet car sites as suggested here. The dealer that I purchased my vechile from was very fast and curtious to my needs (including the price haggling). Thanks for all the postings.

I researched for months and this is what I finally purchased: 2004 SE AWD Sunroof package, includes Premium package(Bose, etc.) Pewter with Charcoal cloth Wind deflector Splash guards Floor mats Price paid = $30848 at the Carmax in White Marsh, I'm in NJ but my brother lives in Baltimore so it was convenient. Sticker was $34060, invoice was $31,186. What do you think of the price??? I decided to buy because of the 2.9% on 60 months. I wasn't able to get a dealer below invoice in NJ. Thanks! |

| Does anyone know if Nissan ever offer a better incentive for MO than the current APR specials? I don't want to rush out to buy before 3/31/04 if I don't have to. | |
