| Does anyone know what the residual value is on an '04 Murano SL (FWD) with the SL Leather Pkg. in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area for both a 36 & 48 month lease? Thanks! | |

Hall Nissen in Virginia Beach, Va. quoted me an '04 Murano SL FWD |

I think you mean to say you got the SL touring package ($4,300 not $1,500 for the SL Premium)?? The sunroof comes with the Touring package so you'd need the wind deflector. By my calculations from Nissan web site: MSRP 28,200 PREM 4,300 MAT 80 cover 70 splash 100 DEST 560 Wind Def 70 Total 33,380 (I didn't include the pin stripe since that's all dealer profit anyhow.) This means your getting a dsicount of $2400 off msrp or about 7.25%. You can do better. Try going to CarMax's website and see what they have for new Nissan Muranos. Their in Washington DC and will give you a no haggle price you can print out from their web site. Then take that to the dealer your working with and suggest that if they don't beat the price, you'll take a drive to DC. They have your exact vehicle (without the pinstripe) MSRP $33,380 offered at a no haggle price of $30,168. It's a Polished Pewter/Charcoal combination. http://carmax.com/dyn/searchengine/searchresults.asp#New As a matter of fact, you can get an SL AWD for the same price your dealer is quoting for an SL FWD. My guess is that the AWD will have a higher resale value down the road as they seem to be much more popular. |

We just purchased an '04 AWD w/Touring Package and have been very please so far. However, we also grudgingly purchased Nissan's extended bumper-to-bumper warranty (Gold Plus?) for $1464 meanign the vehicle is covered for 7 years/100,000 miles. This is more than double the 3 yr/36,000 warranty that comes with the vehicle. My questions is: IS THIS WORTH IT? We have 30 days to cancel... Also, I believed we got a good deal on the Murano. We purchased at invoice: $31,800.00 For a Pewter 2004 SL AWD with the Touring Package, I think it is pretty good. |
