I purchased mine from Ron Tonkin Nissan. It was Thomason that had '03 advertised at $5,000.00 off MSRP. I would request a quote through the internet from all the local dealers and negotiate before you go there. I had a great experience from Tonkin but it was a car on ad so there was not a lot of negotiating. Good luck, you will love this car/SUV.

Hi dboat,

The same folks you bought from quoted me $27800 for a SL FWD. You said you got your AWD SL for $27000. Would you be kind enough to share your secret with me? I got a quote from the people at Dublin Auto Mall in the Bay area for the SL FWD for about $26000 and seriously consider getting it from down there and have the car shipped up here to Seattle.

Hi mpau,

The car was on weekly ad so I'm sure it was a loss leader but they had many other Muranos on the lot. I'm really suprised that they would not match the offer from Dublin. I wish you luck in your search. Let me know if I can be any help.

I've been quoted a price of $28500 on an 03 Murano SL AWD. It comes equipped with SL Premium Package, floor mats, cargo protector, and splash guards. Just wondering if this sounds like a good deal. I've been unable to find out the exact invoice price. Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

3 months on the waitin' by nitely

Just placed an order for a black se awd and gave 5 bills for deposit. Said it will be about 12 weeks but will give an eta in about a month or so. 800 under invoice was good so I went for it. At first I was thinking of maybe waiting for the 05's by october but...what the hell..The man seems like a straightup guy to deal with, I feel confident there will be no tricks once the closing of the deal arrives. Its really nice when you don't have the urgent need to have a car NOW--like the last time I bought one ...not so good deal.--actually bad. Rushing--cause I need the car for work and did not do any reasearch what so ever. Atleast it was just a commuter, but still...Its so much better this time around.

$800 under invoice is what I bought my new 2004 AWD Polished Pewter SE, but I drove it home 2 hours after finalizing the price via email.

What area of the country do you live in? Did you use Nissan's online inventory search to see if the vehicle you want is anywhere in the area? I found my vehicle (actually my wife's vehicle) online, wrote down the VIN number, and negotiated the price with the dealer that had the vehicle.

A 12 week wait seems like an awfully long time to wait for a vehicle that, at least in the San Francisco Bay Area, seems relatively plentiful in all flavors.

I hope you were just having some fun with us. Nobody should have to patiently wait 12 weeks for their new baby to arrive.

A local dealer has two 03 models (with navigation which I really want). What is a good price for these? I could not get prices for 03 models on Edmunds or Carsdirect (or I may not know how to obtain them). Although the vehicle has one year's worth of depreciation, would it really matter in the long run. Any help would be appreciated.

My Murano Deal - 1/29/04 by elywood

I found this forum very helpful and felt I should post my experience so here it is. I purchased an 03' today with 100 miles on it. The 03' was a no brainer for me as I was financing for 3 years and Nissan is offering 0.9% until 2/2/04. Best rate I could find for 04' was 3.8%. I have been looking at this car since Sept. so I knew exactly what I wanted:
SL w/ AWD
Leather
Premium Package
Moonroof
Cold Weather Package
Mud Guards
Floor Mats
Crossbars
Bike Rack
Ski & Snowboard Rack

MSRP $35,221 Invoice $32,126

Paid $31,461 + tax $665.00 under Invoice

I could not get a dealer in the Cleveland area to move under invoice for 04' or 03'. Even demo 03's that had between 4900 and 7900 miles. Most dealers around here had 2 or 3 AWD 03' on their lots, maybe 5-8 04's. I found a large dealer in Michigan (90 miles) with 8 new 03's with no mileage and their first offer was $500 under invoice. I did a little better in the end, and much better than any dealership locally. I did all my research on the Nissan website as suggested here. I did all my negotiating with the dealerships Internet Sales Manager. The Internet salespeople are now the top sellers at most dealerships I have found out. I love this car - today, I'll keep you all posted as the months and years go by.

I guess my final thought are: research on the internet then deal with the internet sales manager at the largest dealership that has the car you're looking for. This will get you your best price. Of course, if buying locally has a value to you, you must determine how much value that is. This method saved me $2600 considering the price and financing and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the postings.

Hi goldenklanes
I believe that is high price for a 03 Murano. You have to remember that many 04 Muranos are selling for invoice price. The value of 03 Muranos is at least 1000 less than invoice price as they have already lost their value by staying on the dealership lot. At least that was the price quoted to me by a dealer in Greensboro, NC. I did not buy it as I did not like the color. His final offer was $26000 for a sL 2wd with premium package and mud flaps, roof rack and cargo protector and he asked me to put a $500 deposit to finalise the deal. He even asked me to take it home overnight as test drive. I hated the black interior so I declined. I think a good price would be anything under $28000.I hope this helps. BTW the invoice price for 03 Murano you mentioned is $29430 according to Kelly blue book.So try to shoot for a price of 28000 or less. 0.9% Financing would be sweet.
