#2768 of 2921 Purchase my lease Murano
Mar 29, 2010 (11:14 am)
I have a 2007 SL Murano (touring package) that will be due for return in July. There are still 3 payments left (39 mo lease).
Current payoff $20,167
Amount due in July $19,084
Can I negotiate a lower purchase price with Nissan Financing or are they pretty much firm with the payoff amount?
I was informed that the only way to purchase the car is via the dealer where I leased the car from, is that true? Few years ago I purchased my leased Toyota Highlander and I just paid the payoff amount + tax directly to the lender, no dealer involved.
If I need to go to the dealer, what fees do I expect to pay besides purchase option fee and sales tax?
#2769 of 2921 2010 Murano SL 2WD Pricing Post

This is a re-post of my purchase details. I apologize for re-posting, but given its the last two days of the Nissan buying year - I was hoping to get the thread back on track for its purpose. I'd be happy to answer any questions on my our purchasing experience.
Color: Glacier Pearl/ Beige Interior
MSRP --- 34,745
Invoice --- 31,791
Paid ---- $29,537 ( includes destination charge and assigning of $1250 rebate dollars over to dealer)
3. Dual Moonroof
4. Carpeted Floor Mats and Cargo Mat
5. Accessory Value Package
6. Splash Guards
7. Bumper Protector
8. Bug Protector ( Black Plastic Shield across front of hood)
This was a good deal, but not a great one. After dealer hold back their cost was about 28,800 as a guess, but I believe in leaving meat on the bone too. Its the end of the year and just go straight to a manager and help him or her with end of year sales numbers and help yourself out to a bit of a deal as well. Mileage at time of purchase was 15 miles on the car. Manufacture date was 12/09. Car must have been sitting for 2 months. Saw the same at other dealership too.
This is Houston, Texas, land of a gazillion Nissan Dealers. After TTL and Document fee total OTD was $31,780.

Nicely done loach. Personally, I hope mike sticks around and generates more disdain. This is one of the most amusing discussions on my watch list.
#2772 of 2921 bubbling silver grill
Mar 30, 2010 (5:46 am)
after going on vacation in the mountains and freezing snow, the silver grill has bubbling on it. Has anyone had this problem. My murano is 2004 so not under warranty, took it to the dealer but basically nothing they will do about it. I heard there is a 1-8-- number that we can call, does anyone have it. also annoying is the drivers sun visor keeps falling down, the deal wants 350.00 for that. HELP.

The topic is Prices Paid... not, about each other, or how Nissan screwed you.
Next one in the pool with an off-topic post just might get a "CarSpace holiday".
Thanks for your cooperation...
