2004 SL AWD w/Touring in NJ by trblmkr_nj

We just got SL AWD w/Touring, Floor Mats, Cargo Protector, and Mud Guards (MSRP 34,960.00) for 32,307 + tags, reg fees and taxes at 34,454 out of the door. I used fax blast with little response (5 out of 18 or so). prices were between 32,307 and 32,700. The dealer at Somerset offered 32,307. I requested buyer's order, and got late same day. Called next morning (11/1) and was told that car is gone (go figure!). Took their buyer's order to DCH Freehold and show it to them (DCH reply on fax was 32,700). They matched it (32,307), not without trying to get another $100 first. Insurance with AIG, no points, used for pleasure only with 100K/300K and 100/comp and 500/coll is 450/6 months.

trblmkr......Congrats, sounds like you got a pretty good deal on an 04! Did the dealer charge any funny ADV/Doc fees? Seems like we have alot of that going on here in Atlanta.......Did you drive the SE before selecting the SL? Was their much difference in the ride?.....Enjoy....Adnips

adnips...
I just moved from ATL to Austin. Bought my 2000 Maxima from Peachtree Nissan. The sell guy, his name is David something, quoted me a bottom price and did not added anything. So there is one place in ATL where they don't play around with the fee stuff, well atleast for my experience.
Also we just bought a 2003 Murano; we are Nissan customer, can you tell? . We drove the SE and then the SL. The SE is too firm for our taste. We have kids and will travel to beach and stuff and the SL will be much easier on the long haul.
Loving the SL, did not get the AWD, Austin is too hot to have any ice or snow. We got $28400 final price, everything including TTL and fees for the 2003 SL, basic just floormat and cargo protection.
 Good luck.

Just bought a 2004 AWD with Touring Pkg, Dynamic Control Pkg, Nav, mats, cargo protector, sunroof guard and mud guards. Paid $36,594 out of the door in northern Va. Probably could have gone a little lower but my company has deal w/dealer so I got some decent freebies. They really wanted to sell me a 2003 which I seriously considered for $300 over invoice. Tempted but opted for the newer car. My other car is a Jeep Grande Cherokee and boy can you tell the difference! Nice ride!

Hi Group - I'm in Charlotte and about to put $ $ down on
Mo '03 SL AWD
w/ navigation,
prem pkg, leather,
sunroof,
Dynamic Control,
Cold pkg,
26 miles (dealer selling as "demo" since used in local autoshow)
MSRP $37,660 dealer selling for $32,800 (ttt $34,100 out the door)
Absolutely love the car (as does my 4'11" wife - adjustable pedals swayed her) - but want to make sure my infatuation isn't setting me up to get fleeced when I head to dealer tomorrow. Thanks so much for your input/opinion.

Thanks superDavid - I'm ok with 2003 (no significant changes in 04 from what I read) Feel better going in with at least one other opinion. I was hoping for more discount since it was 2003. But no '04s in area with color / features /awd choice I wanted. Appreciate your input!

In answer to your question and I hope I'm not too late in my reply, please email me at Breslendaol.com and I can tell you everything about the Murano I bought. I have never used this site before the purchase of the Murano and forgot to keep checking it to see if I had any questions. Someone over the summer emailed me about my experience with the shield I had installed on the nose, so far so good! Today it is having an automatic starter (for the winter months) I hope that all goes well. So again my apologies for not responding until now, hope I'm not too late.
Regards, Sharon

That kind of defeats the purpose of a message board doesn't it?

You can tell MuranoHunter and everyone else all about it here: Nissan Murano
