Hi All- I've got the Murano coming off lease in August, and am thinking about buying it and wanted to get some thoughts on it. What I'm looking for help on is the general idea of buying out a lease, which everyone usually says is a bad deal, however-- check out the math: Total $$ paid for the car at end of lease term = $18k (includes $1k out of pocket and monthly payments) To buy at end of term = $19,500 Truck only has 20k miles on it. When I do a quick search online of what the '06's are going for, I see most around $20k to $22k at the highest. If I bought it out, that would mean I'd be spending a total of $37,500, plus whatever I pay for however long I finance it. The other thing I think is that I'd have to pay sales tax on the $19,500, so that jacks it up a grand or so. Any thoughts would be appreciated... my wife drives to little leasing seems silly at this point for me. Thanks, Jason

Purchased a 2009 Murano SL 2WD with Premium Package, Splash Guards, Floor Mats and Roof Rack Cross Bars on 7/8/09. It was a left over from 5/08 so it was before the price increase. MSRP: 30060 Paid 27637 (Invoice)- 1500 (rebate)- 500 (holiday bonus cash). $25, 637 + TTL There seems to be a shortage on the Murano. I felt the price was reasonable since this one was before the price increase.

Just bought a 2009 Nissam Murano 7 miles on it with plastic still on seats. Dealer had it less than a week and no test drives on it yet. SL FWD (Black) Premium Package 360 Value Package Leather MRSP 34,655 Invoice 30,200 Paid Invoice minus 1,500 rebate Muranos are in short supply especially with the 360 package. Never had to work so hard in my life to get a car at invoice. I could get better deals on colors and packages that were not as popular. When I was shopping many local dealers would not even match many of my other offers from farther away. Some dealers were even out of muranos. It took me a lot of work to even get dealers down to 3 percent over invoice. The dealer that sold it to me at invoice admited they were having a slow day so decided to move a car at a smaller than normal profit. I worked about 20 dealers. No one knows but next month the rebate may be less than 1,500. Supply is starting to increase at the end of next month which may help. I was also looking at Tribecas. I could get those at 96 percent of invoice minus rebates with out even trying that hard. Best of Luck
