Well after several weeks of looking, researching, emailing and frustration I finally purchased an 09 Murano LE. I'm very pleased with the deal I got. This vehicle has Nav, moonroofs, crossbars, floor mats, lighted door sills, splash guards, cargo cover, basically everything except the aero kit. My main criteria was to get a payment lower than my Acura RDX, put as little down as possible and get the best discount I could. We basically got $5900 off the entire deal. Here are the details: MSRP - $41,860 Cap cost - $36,960 39 month lease with 12k miles MF - 0.00164 Residual - 48% Total cash out of pocket - $565.00 (for all startup lease costs as we got a lease cash back rebate of $1000) Monthly payment - $547.35 (was paying $555/mo for 2007 Acura RDX w/tech pkg.) I've driven this car for only 2 days and it drives, rides and is so much more confortable than my Acura was. Its quiet and the interior fit and finish is outstanding. I got Brillant Silver w/tan interior. One of the best dealerships I've ever dealt with JENKINS NISSAN in LAKELAND FLORIDA. Believe me when I say this as I change vehicles every 3 years. We left 2 other dealerships after the ridiculous back and forth and payments that were $100 more a month with putting down 2-3K. Called them as we left the other dealers asked what they had in inventory and basically negotiated the price over the phone. Finalized the deal within 10 minutes and left the delaership 2.5 hours later with the vehicle. They had just got this one in so it had not even been cleaned and had all the port "packaging" still on it. If you live in the Tampa Bay area and are looking for any Nissan I highly recommend this dealer. They are professional, courteous, friendly and they treated us like intelligent professionals.....imagine that! |

great site for info ... i havent seen any recent pricing info on the SL AWD. I looked at edmonds with the leather/premium/360 package and their TMV is about $1500 higher than most offers i am already receiving. My quotes, without any negotiating so far, puts me at about 31,866. Every dealer is within a few dollars. Anybody have similar prices? I also saw the regional incentive just got bumped down to $500 in my region. Of note, my parents are also buying a nissan, and we thought we might have some buying power going together and get some better offers. no such luck. Am i already at the bottom with little negotiating left? |

Replying to: kilrb (Jun 09, 2009 11:29 am) Just wondering what others people are paying for a similar car. I am not really believing all this hype that car buyers have all the advantage, unless you are maybe buying a GM car. They arent going to sell a car for a loss. I am still hung up on how low i can go. It would be great to know what kind of deals people are actually getting for that trim line.

I'm not quite ready to buy, but I did stop in to check out and drive the Murano at two dealers. One had lots of stock, and the other had only four left. After I told him I was educated in the market, and knew they were going well below invoice, the dealer with only four told me up front that they are dealing, and are not trying to make a killing, which is probably why they only have four remaining (2 LE's and two S's). He threw out an example, telling me they just sold an LE at $6k under sticker, which depending on the options, is somewhere in the upper $2k range below invoice. This admission came up even after I had told him I'm not quite ready to buy, and wasn't there to negotiate. I know this isn't totally comparable to the SL AWD (which is what I'm going to be looking for), but I think it's evidence that there are dealers willing to deal. |

wow. the price i am getting everywhere for the SL AWD is around 31,600 (again without negotiating yet). thats pretty much exactly what their invoice is according to consumer reports with the options priced. this is also without any of the dealer or regional incentives. So with about a $500 dealer holdback and anywhere between $500-1500 regional incentive that lands me at about 30 even. If they are selling below invoice i should be able to get lower. As for the options, the SL AWD and 360 value package (dual panel sunroof, alloy wheels, roof rack) requires X01 (leather package) and K01 (premium package: bose 11 speakers, satelite radio, and some others) |

When I finally get my Murano there is a great chance it will be an LE and I do not like the rims enough to keep them for city use. If any are interested in buying or swapping + plus some cash my email is realme31 realme31

Replying to: gresch (Jun 09, 2009 8:58 am) 2009 Nissan Murano SL All Wheel Drive Splash Guards, 360 Value Truck Package, LeatherPackage, Premium Package, Floor Mats, Cargo AreaProtector, Rear Bumper Protector, destination $29920 2009 Nissan Murano SL All Wheel Drive Leather, Moonroof, Premium, Technology, destination $30550 Both includes the $500 rebate. Still negotiating to get squeeze some more out of it and I will probably go down this weekend to one of them. So, no, you're not at the bottom. My #1 quote has more than your quoted car but almost 2K (or 1.5K if you didn't count the rebate) lower. I suggest you widen your search area as well. |
