Hi Alex777,

I'm in the market for the exact same car. Here is the best deal I got so far:

2009 MURANO SL 2WD SUV CVT
MSRP BASE $28,420
3 PIECE FLOOR MATS $120
PREMIUM PACKAGE $1,000
SPLASH GUARDS $125
Freight Charge $780
Total $30,445

Your net price: $25,945 (before tax, title and DMV fees)
This offer includes the $1K rebate and that's in LA county.
Any thoughts? Good deal?

Thanks!

Invoice on that vehicle is $28,769 minus $1k rebate is $27,769. So you're ~$1800 below that. It's better by far than offers I'm getting. I'd be happy with it but are you?

09 SL Purchased 05/01/09 by rjokc

Purchased my first Nissan on Friday. Was down to the Murano and Highlander and after the test drives it wasn't even close. I'm sure the interior quality is similar on both but the Highlander interior seemed cheap and had zero character. It had the ambiance of a minivan.

Even though it seems to be a great time to buy a new car we found it's not exactly the case for SUV's or Crossovers. Most of the local dealerships had no more than 4 Crossovers in stock so they weren't desperate to unload them.

List price was $35,500 and we got it for $33,000 with a decent price for our trade in. Wifey got the DVD player and bluetooth she had been looking for. We purchased it at Bob Moore Nissan in Norman OK. They had the best selection of all the metro dealers and were very friendly.

That is a very good price. Which dealer did you get that from? could you IM me? I am looking for exactly the same except with the leather package.
Thanks,

what is the tax rate in Chicago?
Here is Los Angeles, I am getting the offer price $29,995 for the exact same model + options. Tax rate in LA is 9.25% (just increased from 8.25% in April 1, 2009). so if I calculated it out, with $45 doc fees, 1% license and new tax rate, the OTD is ~$33,110

I'm still negotiating. Good luck!!!

Murano SL 2WD
- tech package
- premium package
- leather package
- dual panel moonroof
- splash guards and
- floor mats

Buying experience so far by teamv

Hi,

I built my Murano via edmunds and used the get dealer quotes feature. I have received several canned emails but no responses to my replies or voice mails.

I think that I am making it obvious that I do not want to walk into the show-room until we have agreed on price and availability. Is this what could be causing the lack of response?

If this is sales, it certainly does not give me a warm fuzzy over what service might be like.

Any similar experiences in Northern NJ or am I just being sensitive?

Do I need to just bite the bullet and suffer through the "let me talk to my manager" routine at each dealership?

Thanks

i've gotten totally different experience here in california. plenty of phone calls and emails to give me price, although not as low as i expected.
still, i didn't close a deal yesterday because the car didn't have my first choice color. they offered 6k below msrp (that is with the $1500 included).
still taking my time to shop.
