To add a smile, when I told them I wasnt going to take a deal they were offering and go buy a Ford, they asked me what I was going to do with my warranty when Ford went chapter 11. When I asked them if they thought along the same lines I wouldnt have to pay my lease anymore, they were stumped.

Also, is it normal for Nissan dealerships not to quote payments until they pull your credit? That is a really bad practice b/c if you decide NOT to get the car, you have an inquiry on your credit history which brings your score down.   I'll email you as soon as I can in that time frame. The reason they want to check your credit is to see if you qualify for the best tier. I don't think the preliminary check is a problem but you can ask. You should know your credit score anyway. I do know my credit score but they should give you an idea of pmts would be with the disclaimer that this would be only for tier 1 credit., Most other dealerships do this, ie Lexus, Toyota. Oh well. Out the door price was $28,858.66 for my car with all accessories possible except the Sunroof, the optional cross bars for the roof rack, and the GPS. This includes leather seats, of course, the Tech Pkg with heated power driver and passenger seats, bluetooth-eqyuipped audio, all the floor and mats, etc.   I didn't want the sunroof because the car is quieter without it and I didn't want the GPS because I already have a great portable that is so much of a better value. I'm told this price is about $2600 below dealer's invoice. Had I insisted on a AWD without a black leather interior, it would have had to come from another state and cost $1600 more. It wasn't worth that to me.   The deal included 0% financing for 36 months (why pay cash when there's no incentive to do so?). There were 2 nearby dealers competing for my purchase. The one closest to me won out.
