I agree with you. IF you are in Dallas, Courtesy Nissan is the best place to buy a Murano. My dealer was Abraham, he gave me a quote at invoice initially. There was no hassle from the dealer. I went to Bankston dallas, i was really bullied by the manager though the intial person was kind.

I took delivery of my car, it looks and feels so good. Murano rocks......you hardly hear any noise inside, it has lot of feature which i have to go through.

I had posted my quote before, let me break it further.

SL + FWD + SL-A + SL-B +Moon roof + splash + rack bar + floor mat + carpet protector : 34825

Invoice price : 31762

my price : 31392

all other fees are same as yours, but wonder how come the Sales Tax is so low for your invoice price ?

Anyways i got a full tank of gas, +2yrs of oil change (ask for it, they will give it you )

Bottom line, courtesy nissan is the best nissan dealer in Dallas.

2009 Murano LE - Antwerpen, Clarksville, MD by fmayberry

Just purchased a 2009 Murano LE, Brillant Silver with Black interior. Options were splash guards, moonroof, floor mats, cargo area protector, roof rack cross bars, and navigation.

Price breakdown was MSRP $40,205, invoice $36,845, vehicle price $36,224 ($621 below invoice). In addition there was $100 dealer processing fee and various state TTL charges.

A very low pressure dealership. Up front with their pricing and none of the "come in and lets talk" BS I encountered with some dealerships. Price/deal was arrange before arriving at dealership. In and out of finance in no time. Threw in free wheel locks and left with a full tank of gas. I highly recommend checking out this dealership if in the Washington / Baltimore area.

The other dealership I might recommend if in the NOVA area is Sheehy in Springfield, VA. The internet saleperson was above board, very responsive, and close on price. But didn't have one with navigation in color I wanted.

2009 Murano LE - Nissan of Chantilly, VA in DC Area by poohsavybear

We are long time Nissan owners (Stanza, 2 Maximas, Xterra, and Pathfinder) and expecting #3 and didn’t want to cram 3 carseats in an 07 Maxima. At our last service on the Pathfinder we got an 07 Murano as our free loaner – it fit 3 carseats – no minivan for us!! :o) After reading through the forum my thoughts were we could get a leftover 07 Murano at a great deal plus using the 1.9% APR given there are no incentives on the 09s and not much room to haggle since they are selling very well. Knowing the last weekend of the month was coming and dealers needing to meet monthly sales goals and the 50th anniversary sales, I scoured local dealer websites that showed standing 07 inventory and did the combine internet route directly to the dealers followed up by the “fax attack” to the sales managers. I wasn’t able to find an 07 Murano with the exact options I wanted which happens when you are looking at leftovers. Given Nissan stopped making the 07s back in October combined with the base MSRP on the 09s are $1500 lower, I would think dealers would provide an extremely motivating deal to move standing inventory. The quotes weren’t bad but they weren’t awesome especially if they weren’t too far off of what we would spend on a new 09 using the post that in the DC area, Fitzmall (online) was offering new 09s for $600 under invoice.

Nissan of Chantilly was EXCELLENT – very responsive, professional, no pressure, and happy to work with such an informed buyer. Everything was done via email. Ours salesman gave me a good quote on a leftover 07 but it had Sirius and I wanted XM. He offered to look in the inventory for an 07 with my desired options and found only one in the DC area that was close and said he’d bring it to his dealership. At this point, we were going to go with another dealership due to XM but as were finalizing the details, the GM from that dealership called and said the wrong car was pulled from system and the quote provided was incorrect. The new price was $2400 more. I was not happy about this but it did work out to our benefit. Our salesman from Nissan of Chantilly informed me since they did not have an 07 with XM that I was looking for, they would match the Fitzmall $600 under invoice on any 09 they had in stock. We went in today to purchase an 09 Murano SL AWD with Nav, Premium Package, Tech Package, Leather, Moonroof, Splash Guards, and Floor Mats – MSRP $37,990 and Invoice $34,615. We couldn’t justify spending the price difference between SL and LE for only a few additional items (20” tires, chrome roof rack, wood grain, memory seats, telescoping steering wheel) after adding all the options on the SL.

Apparently the SL we came in to buy had already been sold to another buyer as they were there too. My 07 Maxima trade-in price wasn’t great (given my quote was so good) so I decided to take it to Carmax instead. We ended up walking out of the dealership with a 2009 Murano LE at a great deal. I can’t even tell you how good of a deal I got, it would put them out of business. My advice – the 09 Murano is Nissan’s top selling car right now, do your homework, research prices in your area on this forum and look at local dealers internet prices, know exactly what you want/options, target the end of the month/last weekend as dealers have sales goals to meet, and use the internet and fax to your advantage – it will save you time and money. Not all dealers/areas are offering the 09s anywhere near invoice due to the high demand but they are starting to in some places. Given the state of the economy, I think it will start to make its way to others dealers – just give it some time if it’s not in your area yet.

We had an excellent experience and were in and out quickly; going through the paperwork and finance was a breeze. I highly recommend Nissan of Chantilly if you’re in the market for a new Nissan today. You won’t be disappointed!! Here is the breakdown of our beauty:

2009 Murano SL
Sapphire Blue with Black Interior
Navigation System
Dual Panel Moonroof
Splash Guards
Floor Mats
Destination Charge - $745

Total MSRP - $39,920
Invoice - $36,628
3% VA Sales Tax Plus Tags/Title
Processing Fee - $499 (This is high since MD is only $99 – this is automatic in the contract but you can negotiate lower into the price of the car.) Nissan of Chantilly offers free car wash for life, free lifetime state inspections, concierge to the airport, pick-up/drop off at work for oil changes.)

-I had 5% financing with Navy Federal Credit Union. The dealer was able to beat it at 4.75% with Chevy Chase Bank – we have excellent credit.

My sister has a black on black car in Dallas and she said it is not that bad during the summer - no worse than tan leather and the manager has a black on black and said it's not bad and I loved the look of the car so much i am willing to put up with a little more heat in the summer : )

poohsavybear - They must be getting hungry at Nissan of Chantilly. I was there a little over a week ago and their rock bottom best price was about $200 above invoice. Their sales process was not as above board as some of the other dealers (several back and forth trips to the manager). They did follow up after my visit to see if I wanted the vehicle at the great price they had offered at which point I indicate there were better deals on the table. They didn't seem to have much interest in getting competitive after that. Given their processing fee is the highest in the area, they would need to be close to $900-1,000 under invoice to match other dealers. End of the month must have change their view.

In my vehicle search there are dealers who would go into the $500-$650 below invoice range. Not all dealers were willing, but there are enough that no one in the DC area should be paying invoice or more, at least through the end of March.
