How much down does Toyota want for that 419/m lease ? Remember, a lease is about not putting any money down on the car exceot for Fee's. In a lease you should be using someone else money to be driving that car not yours.

They're asking 2499 down. I'm not paying that. I haven't begun the wheeling and dealing process yet...i am not looking forward to it.

hk - technically, invoice is what dealers pay. they get holdback and any mfgr to dealer incentives after the fact. thing is, that invoice price is the money that's tied up in the floor planning of the vehicle until it sells.

so when they tell you invoice is what they paid, they really aren't lying...its just that they do get some money back down the road is all...

My '04 Murano lease is up in April and I was planning on getting the LE Murano '09, but you're right, the deals are nonexistent due to the poor residual and money factor. I really enjoy my Murano and like the new ones even more, but when I got a quote I decided to check out a few others.

If I do get another Murano I have decided I am willing to give up the memory seats, which I will miss, on the LE for an SL. Also, check out the larger turning radius on the LE vs. the SL at autos.msn.com (my Maxima has a similar turning radius and it's the only thing I don't like about the Maxima).

I agree that the MDX has comparable lease deals right now.

Also, the base model of the MDX has everything (including memory seats) except for the backup camera (of course no intelli key). You have to go with the tech package to get it. How vital is that backup camera..any opinions?

By the way, I got a slightly lower money factor than previously mentioned on both Murano trims at .001680 on either 36 or 39 months.

Some other helpful figures:
residual on SL at 15K/year for 39 months: 51%
residual on LE at 15K/year for 39 months: 48%
residual on LE at 15K/for 36 months: 50%
residual on base MDX at 15K/year for 36 months: 56% (can't remember money factor, but I think it was around 2% APR range equivalent)

The residual is actually lower on the LE than a $2K less expensive SL. That's how lousy the deal is on the LE.

Any feedback on the backup camera is appreciated.

I test drove both the Highlander and a Murano, though not back-to-back yet. I've read the comments about the Highlander's softer handling, but didn't really notice it when I drove a Limited. If a slalom course was a part of my daily drive, I suppose it would matter.

I just bought my 09 Murano from Brenner Nissan in Mechanicsburg and they have been advertising the sale of 09 Murano's for under invoice for the past month and a half before I even bought the car. I know when I went to Apple, Faulkner, and Fitzgerald they weren't willing to work with me. Brenner is definitely the way to go.

I actually like my backup camera on my SL. I am sure that memory seats is a very nice feature if you are sharing this car, if not, it's not really important.
I read either in CR or MotorTrend that on MDX rear view camera is SLOOOW and that was one of the negative features about MDX.

I've been looking at a SL AWD and was curious what interest rates people were offered from Nissan. I was looking for either a 60 or 72 month financing.

I got 6.1% for 48 month from Nissan even with a pretty large down payment (over 50%)

Yeah that's about what they told me. I was hoping to get better. I guess this car is too new for special finance programs.
