Did you get a good deal on your 4Runner?

| Bigwave, I used Carousel Toyota in West Chester, PA. I too found most local dealers a bit overbearing and under informed. I cannot speak highly enough of Carousel, I even go well out of my way to have my 4R serviced there. | |

Beware of Rk in Hampton. And the very "Internet Manager" , a woman, who you referenced & shall remain nameless, did the ole bait & switch on me! They had seen & appraised my trade [fairly], located 'exactly' the vehicle I wanted, arrived I did the same deal Good transaction. First Team in Chesapeake was not efficient, and could not be competetive. Checker Flag is a good dealer; fixed price. |

| Thanks for the heads up. I had not gone above and beyond the e-mail exchange as I decided at the time to wait until this summer to get my new vehicle. I still haven't fully decided on the 4Runner. However, I will heed your warning. Thanks, and congratulations on your new vehicle! | |

I called first and then negotiated face-to-face I purchased '04 4runner SR5 4x2 V-6 from Priority Toyota in Chesp, VA options: sunroof 17'' wheels floor and cargo mats roof rack rear spoiler MSRP:$29,391, paid $26,272 + processing fee($388), taxes, tages, title final out-the-door price=$27,563.84 |

| I walked out of couple of Toyota dealers in March with sales guys chasing me and bought a new 4-Runner sport edition (6 cyl, 4x2) with pretty much everything except leather from a 3rd dealer. The 4-runner has 6 disc changer, security upgrade, rear spolier, sun roof, compass mirror, and extra mile package C and only had 8 miles on it. I payed $27,500 + TTL in Texas. I learned that the dealers do not like using spreadsheets and will try to use fuzzy math. I had to correct the final price twice before they got it right. The first time tax was off by more than $50 and second time the final addition was off by ~$20. So make sure you take your calculator with you and add all those numbers up! Glad only have to do this every 10 years or so! I worked my offers over the phone between the dealers and was patient with my final price .... good luck. | |

Congrats on the new ride! I had an idea you would like Priority. One gets pretty weary shopping multiple dealers [as you must!] on a major purchase. Pretty wringing, right, rayy? Hope you both enjoy your new trucks. Check out T4R.org for alot of additional information on them.

Congrats on finally purchasing. Your like me, you spent months researching what you want. Enjoy that new car smell! Oh and you forgot the most important detail in your description....what color did you get?

| Just priced a 4x4 4-Runner, $32,100 (moon roof, alloy wheels, security system, roof rack, mats) in northern West Virginia. Dealer is asking $28,900. He's showing me an invoice price of $28,837, but pricing on Edmunds says its more like $28,2xx. First dealership I went to is selling them as fast as they get them, second one had more on lot and is where I got the price above. Is this good for the area or should I look elsewhere. I'll already be driving 90 min. to get servicing. | |
