Prices on new 4 runners by jettaface

He did get a good deal. I am in Florida and do not want a 4x4. Online Fitz's seems only to stock those. Could be wrong. I have waited since 9/28/07 for a 2008 Limited in Barcelona Red Metallic, but seems Toyota will not produce that color for some reason. The other out there is Salsa Red Pearl and I dont care for that one.

Sooo, I finally settled for Titanium Metallic with stone leather interior. Better color for Florida anyway. It is a 8678, V8, 2x4 loaded. Nav, day lites, Sunroof with spoiler and sport suspension, sunroof deflector, window tint, carpets all over. I didnt want that toyo plus but its on and cant get the dealer to exclude it. But got him down on price of it. The V8 has the tow package as standard.

I also added Borla dual perf exhaust, park pilot and extreme cargo mat. ( have dogs), accent stripes, wheel locks and 2 valor exhaust tips. (Am keeping the removed exhaust too.)

In southeast they add in $900 for Toyota Admin Fee. Nice big chunk of change to see at the end of the deal. Anyway, I think I will get the car in early May. Dealer says the rebate should still be in effect. Out the door with tax and everything was $40K. Lotz of cash for a car, but I still have my 1989 SR5 truck with 67K miles on it and the truck looks new.

Best I can calc is I got approx $5600 off MRSP. Soooo, I think you are in the ballpark. The Sport edition is priced between the basic model and the limited. The previous guy's 4runner was a V6 4x4. He deal was super. He did go to PA for it. I cant travel due to 3 dogs. But if I could, might be to your advantage to check them out.

Good luck and I thank everyone for their input on these deals. It certainly takes a toll on you and the dealers know it. They simply wore me down after 7 months of this stuff. Toyota is tuff to calc as the options for each model as standard change so you really have to do your homework.

Look up the used wholesale value of your 35000 truck (12+ months old) in the 07 model on kbb.com or nada .com. If it is about $23000 (12000 off from msrp) you want at least 7500 off, or your deal (5500) +2.9% . (your credit is good) As you can see if the vehicle wholesales used 12000 off from msrp, 7500 off sticker is hardly giving it away, especially since the used books on the 20 mpg suv's and trucks are probably optimistic.

Such a best deal I ever heard. Is it V6 or V8? What is your major option?

I am looking for V8 2wheel drive sport edition . tried several dealers in Houston, few cards are V8 and MSRP is around 35000. I can only get $5500 off MSRP + TTL without 2.9%. Is the deal acceptable?

The key was playing a couple dealers against each other for vehicles on their lots. I could have bought a charcoal sport 4x4 6 for >$6000 of MSRP from a different dealer. I did a lot of the leg-work via e-mail.

I took the rebate b/c the dealer got me close to 4% for 60m from a local bank.

No trade, I sold my 11 yo Explorer myself for more than I thought I'd ever get.

Regarding 2 WD, I have left my 4x4 in 2wd since purchase and am getting 20-21 MPG city!

MSRP $35472
bought for $29450 +tax
Black Sport 4x4 V6
DJ premium 6disc stereo
RF
RL
SR
TO
CF
CN
G0

One+ week in, we love our FR!!! My wife had been begging me to get rid of my old Explorer for years...with 2 kids, safety was the kicker.

I bought a 2007 SR5 2wd
9,981 Miles,
Gold
Pretty much base with 17 in tires / side airbags
Bought on 01/13/08
$26,889 out the door - 22k for the truck, $1800 for an alarm, 800 for window etch.
I made every mistake I can think of since I had just been in a car accident and shouldn't have been walking around much less buying a car.
How did I do? / how much did I put on the table... thx.

I just bought a 2007 V-6 Sport Edition 4WD w/ 11K miles that was in showroom new condition.

It had every option (electrochromatic mirror, sunroof, homelink, towing package, JBL system, alarm, side curtain airbags, 115V, double decker cargo, mats) - except the NAV system. It also had an aftermarket Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system, and K&N filter (I love the sound except for an annoying drone at 1300-1400 rpm).

I paid $27,750 plus tax. I think it was a fair, but not great deal. But it was $3200 better than I was able to get on a new one after working eight different dealers in the area - best I could get was $5K off MSRP.

I'm thrilled w/ the purchase. Already took it up to new property we bought and HAD to use the 4WD on the primitive road to get there. Steep steep steep, covered w/ snow and ice in parts, mud inculding a pretty nice foot deep 30 foot long puddle/mudhole, etc. It was great to through it into 4WD, lock the differential, and know that I would not have been able to get there in our other cars.

Plus on the 5 hour trip I got 23.5 MPG going 60-65 up and down the mountains. In pure city driving the past 8 days I'm getting 19.5 MPG per my odometer and the amount of fuel I put in (the on board computer seems to read 2mpg higher than that).

The only thing I don't like is the previous owner put one of those darn smelly xmas trees scented things. Its taking forever for the scent to clear.

The car probably wholesaled used for about 20000 when you bought it. You paid probably 24200 or so. Assuming 2300 in taxes, there have been worse deals made., but not great. A bit better deal if it was a demo and you are the 1st owner. If they knew you had been de-horsed recently and were actually in a cast or brace and such you're lucky you have your shirt.

You may probably be able to buy that truck now in an 08 brand new for 25000 or less (5000-6000 off sticker, whatever that is) showing that 1yr old (or less) used cars or demos aren't usually worth messing with in todays competitive new car market.

Hi, looking to buy/finance a new 4 runner. I'm willing to pay 10,000 down, and finance 400/mo over 5 years (34K total). What's the best deal for that money? I'd like a 3rd row and blutooth for that...but if it's a good deal either are negotiable...thanks!

How far can I push? by jcook

I have been quoted over the phone from a dealer that I purchase my camry through, a 2008 4runner Limited 4.7 v8 AWD with the following options:

- NV - Navigation with JBL/Audio
- QV - Limited Extra Value Package 1
- RL - Daytime Running lights
- FE - 50 state emissions

MSRP = $42,435
Internet Sales Price = $36,675 includes $1,500 rebate
Sale Price minus rebate =$38,175

Residual value = $22078 which equates to interest rate of 0.72%
MF = 0.00030 which is 0.72% interest rate (taking lease rate gives back the $1,500 rebate)

After 1st payment and fees I was quoted $514-$527 lease for 36 months 12,000
miles

Is this a good deal and how much better can I do?
