Are the people complaining of weak AC in the 3 driving 2007 models? I test drove one today with temps in the 80's and it seemed OK.(I was told that Mazda changed the AC compressor in 2006.) What wasn't OK was the overwhelming supply of black exterior /black interior models....black on black is not for me!! I was asked what I thought about purple....am still grinning here.

I have a 2006 5-door 3 and I would say the same. The AC is a bit weak. It's a friggin furnace here in Austin. I'm from MN so I hate the heat too. With the recirculate on it does cool off but takes a few minutes. I have to say it's my only real complaint aside from not being able to plug in an MP3 player. Great car, I love it. "
The AC takes a while to cool on real hot days, but isn't that big of a deal.
On a side note - there are several easy solutions for MP3 input. I used Auxmod (google it). It was around $50

The problem as I was told from the dealer is the fact that I have Sirius. I'm not using it but it is taking up the auxiliary slot. Supposedly the new ones have both. I would like to find a solution if anyone has one.

Well I can't advertise it here, but I'm no longer using my auxmod if someone wants it.

Has anyone installed Cold Air Intake, or K&N air filter on a '06 3i 2.0?
If so, how easy is the installation?

I have an 06 that has functioning Sirius and AUXMOD - the AUXMOD connects to the cassette connector. Not sure if anything changes for 07. But Sirius and Aux works fine for me...

I have an 07 M3 GT 5-speed. Seems like when i turn the A/C on the car is zapped of almost all of its power. I understand that turning the compressor on will draw some power, but not enough that it almost feels like the engine is missing with the A/C on. It wasnt a problem when the defrost is on just the A/C. Is this normal or is something weird going on here?

I have a 07 Mazda3 GT Sedan with Automatic and don't even notice the difference in power when using A/C. I would think something's not right and have it checked out by the Dealer. Make sure they take it for a test drive with you.
When using Defrost your not using the A/C Compressor so that's why you notice the difference.
Good luck.
