appears to me to have the "most likely to be authentic" Mazda3 picture. But is this the hatchback? It looks like a sedan to me. In any case I don't like the bulging hood look. I believe the current Protege has a distinctive depressed central area in the hood that makes it stand out from less attractive small sedans. Just my opinion.

The North American model looks a little different because it has fog lights and a somewhat sportier appearance (like the current P5), but this is the car.   The lines are identical to the picture I have seen. Lucky me though, I have also seen the sedan which looks quite different from the 5-door.

I'm not doubting that the site you mentioned authentically shows a Mazda3 hatchback. But does dinu01's Czeck site not show what may well be a Mazda3 sedan?   Amusingly, a word-for-word translation of that text from the German site is as follows:   "That becomes out of the Mazda 323 a little Alfa (design), very much Ford (basis) – is finished the new MAZDA3. I think its just a strange angle shot of the 5-door. The sedan looks quite different from the hatch. The back half of the car is very reminiscent of the current Jetta.
