I called Mazda this morning and they told me the rebates were 1500 or 0%. I am in Mississippi, so it might be a regional thing.

I talked to a local dealer and she said that the $2500 rebates is for leases only. So maybe the guy at Mazda was misinformed. Sorry if I got anyone excited!

Another local dealer called me back today and said the current rebate (expiring 3/31/04) is:

$1500 rebate
  or
$500 rebate + 0.0% financing

Not sure which of my posts is correct, but it sounds like it's probably this one. That's also consistent with the incentives that just expired.

I called Mazda Customer Service today and they told me "up to $2500" or 0% financing, but the person I talked to didn't even ask me where I was and couldn't tell me what "up to $2500" meant, so I don't think she really knew.

2004 mz6 sedan incentives...

1500 customer rebate
   OR
0% for 60 months
   OR
$500 dealer cash and 2.9% for 60 months.

If you are leasing with a leasing company other than mazda there is $2500 in dealer cash. But this does not apply to the very good mazda lease program. The reason for this is due to vicarious liability issues in some states that mazda won't lease...forcing the dealer to use an outside lease company like Hahn, chase etc...

Hope this clears things up...the mazda customer serv people rarely get it right.

Has anyone noticed that Mazda appears to have raised the base price? According to Edmunds it's now $145 higher on the 6i. Haven't figured it out for the 6s.

2003 Rebates by rponseti

Does anyone know where to find info on the 2003 rebates? I was wondering if there was any marketing support in addition to the $2500 rebate. Couple of local dealers still have a good bit of 2003's left. They should be getting desparate to get rid of them. Thanks!

According to Edmunds, there is $500 marketing support (dealer cash) on the 2004 models. I would think this might apply to the 2003's as well, but I'm not certain of that.

Has anyone been successful at getting the dealer to give up that $500 (in addition to the $1500 customer cash)? Is there a secret code you need to mention, or do you just tell them that you know about the dealer cash?

Your best move is to not even mention dealer cash when you negotiate.

Just subtract that amount from your offer, and let the dealer decide what he wants to do.
