| Just made a deal on a New 2004 6I, it is still on the truck, not even on the lot yet. It has the Auto Trans, the security pak, the sports package with 17in wheels and the sensor upgrade. OTD is 19,1900. That includes the 5% tax we pay here in mississippi. Good or not? I haven't signed anything yet, just a verbal agreement. | |
| that should be 19,900 not 19,1900,, sorry. | |

| I have noticed that early morning after I start My Mazda6, switch on the aircon..When I start releasing the clutch I hear a slight gud gud sound from the front..A Typical sound that makes you feel that the engine bed is loose or soo. I have this problem only then the engine is cold. Once the vehicle warms up its all OK | |
| On Dec. 17th I purchased a new Mazda 6 Sport with Spoiler,MT, Side Air bags, Moonroof, Sport Grill, Luxury Package, Bose Audio. I used the S-Plan and paid $23,820 before tax, doc, mass transit, license fees. My question is in the $23820 price is a $200.00 St. Louis Assessment fee. What is that? I asked my dealer and he said everybody pays that if the car is not on there lot. (I ordered it) I also ordered a Mazda MPV about 6 months before with the S-plan and don't recall this $200.00 assessment fee on there. Can anybody tell me about this charge? | |
| Does anyone know when the Mazda6 Hatchback (5 door) will be available? (not the wagon). I was wondering if anyone thinks there will be incentives, or will they try to rob us all in the begining for those who cannot wait? I have been researching the Mazda6 for several months, I am a little weary of getting it because of the unusually high price and the so called alignment and transmission problems. But I do love the look and the comfort. Any suggestions? | |

More than likely, the "St Louis assessment fee" is a bogus ploy used by your salesman to pad his profit. Threaten to walk on the deal, and I bet you'll be stunned by how fast that "fee" is dropped. Johnny |

There's a dealer here (not Mazda) that adds on $687 to every car for insurance, storage, and dealer prep. If you ask them about it, they'll say "everybody who buys a car from us pays that". So, I guess I'll never buy a car from them. |

| The assessment fee is a fancy term for an ad fee...most manufacturers have this type of fee and it's legit. Toyota calls it TDA, ford calls it FDAF etc..The dealer pays the fee as part of the vehicle invoice and it is not a profit center for the dealer. I can't speak for your area but here in the northeast region Mazda started the ad fee when corp mazda formed regional ad groups nationwide last year. | |
| The 5-door M6 is hitting the lots now. Check the hatchback board and future models board for more information. | |

| I just got my new 6s yesterday. It is Lapis Blue with the Tan interior, and it looks awesome. I couldn't be happier. I also got the sport pkg, bose, automatic, luxury pkg, moonroof, and SAB. I will be getting my Sport grille hopefully by the end of the week. I only have to small complaints. The Bose stereo seems to be have a lot of static when listening to FM stations. With the CD is is awesome. And there is a small speck of dirt that is in the paint right above the Mazda symbol on the trunk. I might have this fixed, but I'm not sure if they could repair it so it looked like new. But I love the car so much these are easily overlooked. I've caught myself easily over the speed limit without even noticing how fast I was going. This car is even better then my old 97 SHO. | |
