R.S...I do like the front end look of the XE, but the problem I run into is I want the captains chairs which are not available on that trim level. Are you going after that XE? Daughes, Bowke...Over coffee this morning I logged on to the Nissan site to build my SE, April is looming ahead. OK, so I'm a tad bit early! The build configurator was not working this AM. I've been waiting for the electronic locking differential to become available. I read a post under Titan Buying Experiences which stated the ELD may only work in 4 Low, is this fact or fiction? Same poster has correspondence from Nissan stating April 4 as the target date for ELD equipped trucks to roll down assembly line. Under the attributes listed on the Off Road Package, Nissan has what they term "rear active brake limited slip." Am I correct in assuming this is merely another name for ELD or are we talking about two separate items here? Daughes, ever take a trip up to Tunica for some wagering at the casinos? I was there in 2000, making a point to visit all 11 (if memory serves) gambling establishments. Felt,it was my duty to help the Mississippi economy. Future contributions will be made instead by purchasing a Titan! |

I'm not currently in the market, but if I was, I would seriously consider that model. I think it's an excellent bang-for-the-buck. BTW, it does have a huge front fold-down center arm rest with a large storage area, I believe. I do like having 6-passenger capability, for when those needs arise. I think the driver's seat is much the same as the SE model. Bob |

Does Nissan offer a hard locking bed cover and a rubber bed mat for the Titan? I didn't see any mention of either in the Nissan Titan brochure. Bob |

| hard tonneau cover is done aftermarket. rubber bed mat is the same. | |

Tripowertom, Titan production levels are determined by demand to a certain extent, but are limited by the production capabilities of the plant. The capacity of the plant is currenty 400,000 vehicles per year, but that volume must be split up by the Titan, Armada, QX56, Quest, and Altima. So right now, we can't even come close to matching the production levels of the domestic trucks. However, if demand stays high, there is always the option of expanding the size of the plant. Plus, we've been working a lot of Saturdays to increase our production. Regarding your question about options, I don't understand it either. I'm sure those beancounters you mentioned have something to do with it. Lately, I've been considering getting a Sentra SE-R Spec V myself. I want ABS, but to get it I must also get a sunroof and a Rockford-Fosgate stereo. Go figure. By the way, do you own a tri-power? Titanguy1, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your new Titan. Doors are typically harder to shut with the windows closed due to the pressure build up that you mentioned. Slamming a door shut will cause a quick increase in the pressure of the cabin. This pressure will resist the closure of the door. If a window is cracked, then pressure cannot build, and the door will shut more easily. Regarding the VDC, I don't think that a dealer can install it. It would require a new wiring harness. Also, I got a lot of stares when I drove pre-production Titans on the roads near the plant. My favorite was when I pulled up to red light next to a new Tundra. The guy driving it looked over at the Titan, and his jaw dropped! I imagine that he was trying to figure out what it was, and why didn't he test drive one before he bought his Tundra! Haha! Texaszach, I'm not sure if the ELD works in 4LO only. I'll need to look into that. Also, I don't think that "rear active brake limited slip" refers to the locking diff. Limited slip diff. and locking diff. are two different things. By the way, I've never been up to Tunica, but I have been to the gambling boats in Vicksburg a few times. It's much closer to Jackson. Casinos aren't really my cup of tea, but thanks for doing your part to increase Mississippi's tax revenue! |

I figured that we are talking about (2) different animals, limited slip and locking differential. If the electronic locking differential only works in 4 LO, as a poster wrote in the Titan Buying Experiences thread, then I'm not sure I need to wait on it. I can't remember the last time I had to use 4 LO on any my 4x4's. My thinking is that the rear brake activated limited slip works by applying the brake on the wheel which is slipping, therefore sending power to the other wheel. I appreciate the clarification on the ELD once you find out. I've been to Vicksburg as well, it pales in comparison with Tunica. I don't get the same enjoyment dropping a few bucks at the casinos since the economy went south, post 9-11-01. And Daughes, put the Sentra dream aside, spring for the 350 Z, ok? Regards, Zach |

I think the optional bed tie-down system is great; same with the removable rubber floor covering on floor track. Question: Where do you store that removable rubber cover? You would think Nissan would have though of a place to put those two rubber covers when they're not on the floor. Not having a place to store them, is just asking for them to get lost. Bob |

Are they color keyed to the exterior paint OR a standard color (preferred, such as black or gray? I think it would be the later as they "weather" better. |

The ELD only works in 4LO, so you don't need to wait until April to buy a Titan if you don't think that you'll need the ELD. Also, the spray-in bedliner is black. By the way, I would love to set the Sentra dream aside and spring for the 350Z. Unfortunately, I can't put 2 car seats in the back of a Z, plus the Spec V is about $10K cheaper. That'll buy a lot of diapers, you know. |

| Does the Canton facility offer tours for outside enthusiasts? I would like to see how they assemble the Titans and would be willing to travel to MS sometime if I could get in. | |
